Hi Scott, I agree with the others' feedback. Here are my suggestions: You doors are cool, but maybe they are too simple and have a "boring" shape/outline (simple rectangle). Try to make them more interesting by breaking the shape with angles. Same idea for the details of the inside of the doors. Instead of being horizontal, the plating can be tilted and mixed with crazy shapes at different angles, especially if you want to convey the feeling of dark and apocalyptic (read: chaos). The handles should follow the same design. Maybe bend them and mix them with curved or angled bars. I have attached some samples of sci-fi doors I did in the past. Hope these helps. I look forward to see more assets. Cheers! _KN [image: ZFvT_sci_fi_doors_samples.jpg]

I take it that you are looking for a tool that will create a worn and torn look. Deterioration from rough handling? Possibly this? http://sketchucation.com/plugin/720-ene_fractalterrain_v1-0-0_2

This is far from finished. Thanks for the feedback. The pole/hoop is a component and I placed it there just so I could render it with the court. Juts looked at your post Travis and it looks good! Coming along good for someone who's been using SU for a short time.

I sized the textures to match the original one. I think they should be the same in the attached. Grunge Diamond Plate.zip

Sadly the link gives me drivers that are older than the current ones installed on my laptop. Oh well. Still a great piece of software Thank you Kris and Alexey for the replies. Scott.

UPDATE: Added some textures to the model and tweaked them in MAXWELL. Getting the wall roughcast color right. Also got to tone down the color of the wood. Few little modelling suprises will be added depending on how they look. Watch this space next week! Absolutly no problem Draw all your rocks ( similar or not but each as a "group" or component) Place them above your Target(s) like inside a column or like a plane depending of what do you want! Targets must be trimmed in separated group if they are concave And press the button "Run"! [image: file.php?id=94890] They must rolling stones till they will unmoving! See my little tut (here the box is trimmed in some separated smaller boxes ) [image: file.php?id=94891] PS Careful SketchyPhysics don't love another plugins! So it's better to use it alone in a Plugins folder special for it!

Hello Scott, before you jump into external UV mapping with two feet, learn to use SU's tools and the multitude of plugins available here! Take a look at Thom's fantastic plugins first. Download a few Containers from the wharehouse and see how people apply their textures John

This is a neat project. Maybe add a couple of small dumpsters. But this looks good. Maybe take artisan an run a version through a poly reducer and then you can add one or two more items . And remember if you switch to wireframe mode you can move around easier! Then go to hidden line just to render.

Disaster happened.... I had to restore my laptop to factory setting and lost everything So I have to start again. Here is another concept of a sci-fi door. Yes it's on sketchup but I don't know how to change the materials included in the model so it just shows as black. The door has a more detail and is not completely smooth.. Going to start some more vents and floor panels next week. Enjoy! [sketchfab]Sci fi door.zip (click to view in 3D) [image: thumbnail_448.png] [/sketchfab]
