      I don't believe our lens effects hit the render time much or at all. You will definitely have to use Photoshop (or Gimp if you don't like spending money) in the meantime though.

      bonjour.......une chose a savoir c est que vray bouffe énormément de mémoire et SU fonctionne encor en 32 bit il n est pas optimisé et en plus de cela les programmeurs ne se sont pas vraiment fatigué pour fiabiliser la gestion de la mémoire de SU Donc il faut limiter au maximum toutes sorte de textures de photos etc.....ou bien réinstaller tout bien proprement

      I've threatened to update it a few times now. It does have some use, but in the end it's just the material editor with a larger preview. If there was an online repository that could have materials submitted to it like the google warehouse, then it would have more of a purpose. Given it's current level of functionality though, it falls fairly low on the list of priorities. I believe it was made before 1.05.29 was released, so it definitely needs some love soon if it's going to continue to survive. The vrimage tool was updated after the latest VfS release, so it should work fine with VfS generated vrimages.

Valero Point taken, a few of my renders were running (ie going through the motions) but not actually doing the rendering, then when setting up the scene manually with exact same settings it was running fine, seems like vray is actually quite buggy and we're really at the front end of it as a piece of software

      Its 1.49.01 Apparently, I've opened a new folder and rendered that across the network, only one simple material with a displacement map and it seems to have worked fine, I think it must be because the other model didnt have any materials saved onto my system directly, since what I need to work on will have all new materials anyway this should hopefully work, thanks for your time guys

      well, i don't understand exactly, but i will try as soon as possible.. anyway I have to wait for the current render to end.. just a question: the technique you explain in your tutorial only works in irradiance map calculation or will work also using DMC? maybe the point is i don't 100% understand the whole irradiance map thing.. when you render with DMC as primary engine, the whole irradiance map parameters tab doesn't take any effects on the render or it will as well as using IM as primary engine? in my case i'm tryng to use dmc so.. will the irradiance map calculation and saving etc. work for me? or i need to switch into IM engine maybe? please help me if you can cause i'm a bit confused and sorry for my poor english of course..

      Thanks for your replys guys, basically I've got the LAN up and have managed to send renders across it, however its not picking up the materials from the original model, I've started a new thread but if you guys know how to resolve that please let me know
