I've been following your Woes thread. I think you need to go back to the point of sale. Something is off with that device. Not something to find a solution to online. Use your warranty to get it resolved because your rig is a beast.

We live in a cloud of pessimism and distraction. Hopefully the fog clears and the next generation have more sunny days.

I have the download no worries, have the license, it will not activate which is sad because v2 will not deploy and is imho, simply more complication than improvement.

Sorry folks, my sense of humour got the better of me and I know marketing types are getting a bit 'radical' with their concepts. How this will encourage folk into a paid version from the free I do not know but good luck to them. Marketing, a shorter way of saying, Obfuscation...... The company I bought my pc from earlier this year has on site repair, however, the contractor will do nothing unless I agree to them charging me a £250 software reinstall fee. There was no mention of this when I bought the pc so they can shove that where solar radiation is not an issue. Marketing.....

you could open the SU program directory at: C;\Program Files\SketchUp\SketchUp 202#\ and delete the sub-directories "\LayOut" and "\StyleBuilder". Don't be surprised if glitches may happen.
