Another piece of artistic magic. The digital museum idea is a cracker too.

Another subscription, seems to be the norm these days.
They certainly know how to charge for the product.....

RE: Render from WIP.
Gradually moving this on, there are numerous changes but very slow progress. The hubcap proved to be a pain and a half but not quite there yet and gradually straightening panels, sub dividing etc.
All Twilight in this, just reduced the saturation to -30.

RE: Rayscaper, My trip down the road to adjumacation.
Well, the beast has been received at the treatment centre so I am running the old machine, similar size etc so no surprises it looks and smells the same.
The internal dimensions are 12'square for the main rooms with a 5 foot bathroom and entry downstairs.Entourage and some tweaks are all for the model I think then get some attention to the lighting!
For some reason when selecting gpu render, this pc reverts from 2748 x 1048 to 1000 x 1000 pixel size.

Smart-ish (Kettle) Cookie
I have changed mats and geometry slightly, also run the render through Affinity with an LUT.
The brushed metal finish is an improvement I think.

RE: Beautiful Amsterdam
I can only agree with Dave. Magic mate and a joy to see.

RE: Rayscaper, My trip down the road to adjumacation.
This is my Rayscaper thread so, yes, in Rascaper.
There are 8 lights in that scene which should be OK along with an EXR.
I would like to have a better, more informative method of identifying the lights being adjusted. Several are candles so the light has to be reduced for that. Perhaps a designator on the scree would help.
Basically I am finding any real adjustment difficult to near impossible due to not being able to read the dialogue boxes. I will have at some stage to acquire a nother monitor but that will do nothing to fix this issue.
TBH, while I render architectural pieces, I do not DO architectural renders. I have a leaning towards more realistic lighting levels which is out of synch with folk who want "More lights on everything".
The stairs are more commonly found on yachts and small boats and are a space saving measure. Not popular with architectural purists who will simply say that "Never get that past inspection in America, etc".
I know, a bit like those who want fridge freezers in a kitchen boxed in for the same reason. Not doing architectural renders and NOT in America let alone actually expecting these things to be built.

RE: Render from WIP.
Not so far but I am still experiencing issues with my hardware.
Chillblast will not RTU for repair unless I accept they have no liability for lost data on any drive. Losing data on the OS drive has always been a non issue but to claim I must backup the data and then tell me I have to voluntarily allow them to delete the backup too is beyond my understanding.
The basis for this model in on the wired wheels club site. https://wirewheelsclub.com/models/ for anyone who wants toi give it a try.
Some of my smoothing efforts are failing but slowly slowly etc.

RE: Render from WIP.
No mate, not mine, I am just 'detailing' it.
Most models online that come from 3ds max etc are a proper 'mare' to use but these are pretty good when your pc is behaving itself.
My models tend to be of a similar base, around an 11' by 5.5' by 2.5'/3' dimensions. An engine of between 1.2 and 2 litres and sometimes with a turbocharger and electircal additions. These huge monsters are just for detailing and render practice.

RE: Computer Died
No idea if products are more flimsy these days but, I have had more failures in the last five years than the prior twenty years.

RE: Rayscaper, My trip down the road to adjumacation.
For some reason the mirror is not reflecting, suitably set up in Rayscaper, just not apparent in the render.

RE: Computer Died
Pardon me, dyslexic tryping fingers. Electricians...... Doh.

RE: Rayscaper, My trip down the road to adjumacation.
I am going to have a look at that but it seems most of the problems are based around lost settings for colour/texture/material between openings of Rayscaper.
The issue of Rayscaper not minimising is nothing new for me here.
The led lights in the kistchen of the my home renders was due to the glass cover of the unit becoming opaque. No way light gets through that. and later render has demonstrated this by castnig a shadow of the light fixture.
I believe this is nothing serious and only a matter of time. I know you are getting this right mate. Thanks for making this soon to be great program.

RE: For fans of aircraft modeling
Very nicely done, the 'fins' look a bit shallower than I can remember them being but aside from that it is a very fine motor mate.

RE: Interesting table
I'd rather not mate, I thought all the people who thought like that were in politics........
