Hi Massimo!
Thanks for trying to take me out of this hole I just dug...
I wonder if maybe I have a better option instancing in Thea...
Hi Massimo!
Thanks for trying to take me out of this hole I just dug...
I wonder if maybe I have a better option instancing in Thea...
Hi all...
I guess my brain has decided to take a day off today (once more )...
I can't find a way to re-create a landscape with instanced components of a CD following a terrain...
Like in the example below:
I thought the fur plug-in would do but it doesn't seem to have a fixed spacing parameter...
I thought about texturing the terrain but the rendered result doesn't quite works...
Thanks a lot for your time!
P.S. : Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh! It's driving me nuts!
+1
You never cease to impress me with the constant quality of your works!
Thanks for the inspiration! We want/need more!
Ferrari Sketch is looking awesome. I need to find a little time to learn how to use it...
Thanks a lot for all your answers!
Kerkythea is awesome.
Blender could be an option if you can overcome conversion and a steep learning curve.

Seems to me that i have posted a very well docmented image about the SoapSkin Bubble!
Et en franรงais qui plus est!
The doc is perfect but sometimes it's good to see how people are using such and such tools to achieve such result!
But the doc is perfect!
Merci l'ami!

Soap&Skin + Tools on surface/offset:
Nice!
I get the tools on surface part pretty well but maybe you could share the steps you used to do this in Soapskin? Just to let me (and the other forum users too) know!
Thanks a lot for this already !
Thanks for the Random Painter plug-in!
I think Chris Fullmer actually is a super hero and he makes great watercolours too!
I updated my post with a v6 skp! Got it!
Thanks a lot! It really helps me a lot.
Box, I think it took me 3 minutes after I saw your wireframe to come up with something decent:
Just drew 3 lines and converted them to a classic Bezier (another French guy isn't it? ) curve, rotated/copy this curve 90 degrees, added 2 arcs with the arc tool and let Curviloft do the rest (What would I do without you Fredo6? (Could it be another French guy???
!)).
Here's the .skp in case someone would need it.

If it's not in V6, audience will be very few!
I think I didn't get that one...

And maybe with a simple Follow me it's possible to make something?
It's gotta be more complex than what I eventually did I think. But it's gotta be possible!
By the way, I think you may have had this question before but I never looked for an answer for I lack potential uses of this technique but how do you do your colorful patterns?
This definately makes your images pop. I think it's called style!
Hey Pilou! Jean-Franco, thanks a lot to all of you, I really appreciate!
Soapskin is less predictaable for me right now since I never really used it so far.
Same for Ferrari.
But Jeez! It's good to be back on this forum!
Hi,
I know it's a lousy title but it really feels good to post again on this forum after such a long time and I just couldn't resist expressing it!
Moreover, it is because of my Frenchness that I'm posting this so... Not totally irrelevant!
Actually, I'm working on a project which request me to model this:
Alright, so apart from guessing modelling this will imply using Curviloft at some stage, I really don't know yet how I'm gonna do this...
But more than that, I must say I first thought I would look for something like this on the warehouse. But here's my other problem: I don't know what it is or how it's called neither in french or English...
So if any of you can tell me how this nylon or plastic white tent is called, I'd already be glad.
But if anyone has a good idea of how to model this, I think I'll be even happier!
Either way, I can only thank you for reading this post completely!
And thanks for being a part of a great community!
Have a nice day!
Nicolas

Only purged (and not tried yet with cleanup), 3,5Mb.
how many faces? this is the important thing. leaves should be substituted for quad face PNGs.
Sorry for the following dumb question but I didn't take the time to read all the post or even try the plug-in yet...
All the leaves are components?

Yes, you are totally right and I used an Indigo standard material....
Very nice as usual!
Very nice indeed! Very elegant and masterfully modelled. Do you plan on redering this? It's a ceiling light?
Always a pleasure to see you have fun with this!
Now you may want to explain how you (beautifully) textured this!
Is it a spherical mapping with SketchUV?
No thickness for me, just a single sided mesh with clear glass material.
I added a studio IBL and Mr Pete Stoppel's studio and it's done!
I'm still amazed that you actually manufacture those!
