RE: [Plugin] Recurve
Hi,
I should have thanked you sooner for this great plugin...
Now I'm being punished...
I use it quite often but it seems not to work anymore... I can't see the plugin upon right clicking or in the System Preferences/Extensions...
At least not with the 8.0.15158 (nice name for a version by the way...)
I think I could live without Recurving but I really got used to it now... I'm kind of hooked...
Thanks a lot wor your plugin anyway!

RE: I'm back! What have I missed?!
Hey Oli,
I must say I'm not always very present myself on the forum but I still had noticed your absence...
So hopefully everything's now sorted out fine for you and well I'm glad to have fresh news: glad to see you back!Take care,

RE: Need Help!! How to model this kind of form/surface?
@pbacot: you're right. I made my first loft very quickly and your approach is much better!
Still I made this extrusion with extrude edges by vector from TIG's (Hail to you TIG!
) Extrude Tools set (http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=323&t=25362&hilit=extrusion+tools) and it gives a much better result than Joint Push Pull (Hail to you Fredo6!
).
But again, pbacot's approach is better because he took all the bendings into account.

RE: Caterpillar
Hi,
This is (again) a very impressive work.
Although they all deserve it, I can't comment all your works but this one's theme being different from the others, your talent is even more obvious.I just can't wait to read a texturing tutorial!

RE: Need Help!! How to model this kind of form/surface?
Hi,
I think this could simply be a matter of using Curviloft (http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?t=28586).
Draw the front and back curves of the roof based of the image.
I used BezierSpline (http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=180&t=13563#p100509) for that but the native arc tool works too.I then used loft by spline to make the junction
Then you just need to extrude the shape using Joint push-pull.
Hope this helps.

Hi,
Here's a little contribution to this great thread:
pipistrello lampThis one can be certainly found on the internet but I found this an interesting modelling challentge. Could be better but there you go.
Thanks a lot for starting this Cotty!

The only part of the water that is separate is the top surface. That surface has one water material applied to it and the part of the bottle below the top surface has another material applied, which you have to assign a container material (in this case the plastic used for the rest of the bottle).
There's a really useful diagram over on the Thea forum, but I can't find it at the moment.

Big trouble with terrrain...
Hi,
I need to make a detailed terrain from Autocad level curves.
A friend of mine already converted the curves to a mesh with 3DSMax.But now I need to add details to this mesh (grass areas, sand, water...) using Autocad layers.
I used the Drape command from the sandbox tools but it erased some of the geometry.
It seems the missing geometry is located at places where the cad countours are dirty (I can see double contours sometimes...).I have no idea how to clean this.
Anybody can help?

Beautiful. . .one question I have though. . .
do people that live in these kinds of spaces really eat Corn Flakes?
[attachment=0:1z0k97z6]<!-- ia0 -->corn_flakes.png<!-- ia0 -->[/attachment:1z0k97z6]It would seem to me that some sort of home made granola would be more appropriate.
