The release notes for the current maintenance release say this problem should be fixed now.
Just wondering if it is true?

Nope. See my other post.
Ken
Oops, my bad it was late at night and I didn't know there was a new maintenance release. Sorry about the confusion.

You need to change one line of code at the end of some of Didier's scripts to work with 2014 and 2015, unfortunately I don't remember what that small change was. Message Tig, I think he suggested the easy fix.
Thanks, I'll do a search, I am almost sure I saw something about that, now that you reminded me.
Thanks for the reply.

Use Didier's Layer Manager, there is an icon "hide layers of selection" in the toobar...I use it all the time.
I have Didier's Layer Manager, however, it does not seem to work in V 2015. No selection on the menu bar works.
Thanks for you reply

jiminy-billy-bob's Layer Panel V 1.2.1 will do this
Bob
I looked at layer panel, all I could see it would highlight the layer the object was on, then allow me to turn off the layer. And that may be what I end up using, however, I just wanted two clicks.
Thank you for your reply.
Ken
I have a model with numerous layers. Is there a context menu plugin, this if I left click on a part, the part is highlight/selected, and then in the context menu, right clikc, a selection to turn whatever layer this part is on, to turn that layer off?
Such, that I left click, make selection, right click and select "turn layer off", and then that layer is turned off, alone with all object on this layer being turned off. Note, I don't want to hide the selection, I want to turn the selection's layer off.
Thanks for you time.

I work with piping. I make it a point to always have the number of segments to evenly divided in to whole degrees. So as an example, I use for extra fine detail, 360 segments for 360 degrees, 1 seg/per/deg, 180, 2 seg/per/deg. Also as Dave indicates, scaling up always help.
If I going to divide a pipe segment into to some other degrees, I always make sure the division is made at full degrees.
Just my two cents worth.

Attached is my widows version. My default browser is Chrome. Note, this combination has worked for the last couple of years.
Another note: I had this version of windows for a couple of years, and 5 days ago, I started getting the pop-up, that I am not running Genuine Windows. Trying to figure out what this is all about, as I did register my Window 7 upgrade when I upgraded a couple of years ago. And my computer indicates that my Window software is activated. So right now, I may have other problems
However, thanks for the quick reply.
I have now upgrade Sketchup, so back to work I am.
Ken
Box
Yep, that what I remember from other updates. However, it did not happen. Note, your link works. So thanks for the help.
Ken
OK, Sketchup indicates there is an update. However, I can't seem to find where to get this update.
From Sketchup, I choose, download now, Sketchup closes, and nothing else happens.
I go to the site, it shows the new release, however, there is no download available.
So what's happening?
Ken
Just a note, one the highlights of going to Basecamp was attending any presentation that involved Aidan. He will be missed.
Wishing the both of you much success.
Ken
Yep, having the same problem.
If I have used 15, and save the model in a particular directory/folder. When I go back to that directory to find another file in explorer, the upper directory folders will open, and then as I drill down to the directory/folder I wish to access, explorer will close. This is the directory/folder that had the last SKP save.
Very frustrating when working a series of files in the same directory/folder. Doesn't seem to have this problem if I go to another different directory/folder.
I was wondering could it be the SKP.0 file that is causing the problem.
Never mind, found the problem. I had set it to only look for PNG files.
My bad. At least I now have the latest version.
Back to work
Ken
Well, I can't say this happen right after I installed V2015. And I don't want to cast 2015 as the problem, however, I now notice that Xnview will not show any SKP files, any version, won't even shown the file name. Always show an empty folder.
I re-installed Xnview, don't change.
So anyone else using Xnview and having problems, or is it just me?
Thanks in advance
Ken
Downloaded and installed. Won't run, freezes up on my laptop, Windows 7 Professional, 16gigs ram.
Ken
I have found the following not working with V2015
Note, these plugin have problem loading.
There may be other plugins that load OK, but won't work.

2. 3 Point Circle and 2 point circle
i'd be curious to see how a 3pt circle would be implemented in sketchup..
ultimately, if you're drawing a (segmented) circle using 3 points, you'd expect each point to coincide with a vertex on the circle.. but in most instances, at least one of the vertices of the circle won't fall on one of the points (unless the circle were divided into 3 separate arc segments each with a different number of segments)..
anyway, it could get confusing i imagine."
I have a plugin that does draw a 3 point circle. I use it on Images and CAD files. As shown, here is a rectangle 10' by 20'. I made the 3 point selections, and presto I have a 6 segment circle, (normally this would be a 72 segment circle, or a segment per 5 degrees. The radius is equal distance from each of the 3 points. I don't expect each vertex to fall on the circle since circle are made from line segments. However, I expect to have the circle radius to be corrects, as shown in the illustration.
The math, each two points selection define a line that is cord of the circle. A line perpendicular and at the center of each of the two cords, interset at the circle's center. So from this intersection to any of the vertex, is the circle radius.
Works great, just think something this simple should be a native tools.
Guess I am wishing more since I saw how the rotated rectangle was implemented.
Ken
What I would like to see are more native tools.
Such as:
They did a great job with the rotated rectangle.

OK, 1.2 works for me. However, I don't think this is a problem, I did notice a slight delay in the display, which I didn't have with the other version.
Thank you very much for the quick reply. I'm happy it works.
The delay is because the problem with the previous version was a timing issue. Something changed in Chrome (probably as a result of an auto-upgrade) and that caused the javascript of the plugin to try to display the list before the dialog box's html loaded. This ~1/3 second delay fixes that problem.
About the look of the list: We will discuss it and maybe will implement a different look but I can't promise it.
Old retired men have nothing better to do than complain. Do worry about the red, it just reminded me of the unreadable CAD drawings I get.
Thank for the quick fix.

Note, when I get ACAD files that have yellow or red text, I want to run down to the draftsman and yell "NO MORE YELLOW OR RED TEXT"? I say this because your red numbers don't standout. Maybe other older men/women have the same problem. But, hey I can live with the hardship.
Thanks. Can't believe I am the first to report this problem.
