Me like what i see... it works very well for my purpose! sure.. still missing more controls for the materials... but i am sure we will see it in due time!

The metal does work really well doesnt it?? And i get that message too and indeed it does nothing whrn i press update... i am sure its nothing to be bothered about. Just one of those things that need to be ironed out in future releases! -

I am expecting them to come out with new alpha versions each of 14 day trial periods till they reach release version!
Enscape need to make their presence felt here at sketchucation (afterall this is a fairly large community).. somebody invite them over here already!!! -

I installed it fine. But for me the problem is when i start the application from sketchup itself... it gives me the bugsplat! Well.. still alpha so i believe they might fox these issues soon enough!
This looks like a serious and affordable contender to the likes of the overpriced lumion etc... -

I used to have this problem too... what i have noticed that whenever a window was opened with the file in question selected and with the thumbnail display on, that's when that file opened as read only.
