@paguthrie said: 10 Years later... this script almost does exactly what I need, but as Antiever pointed out it just does one from a selection. Anyone know how to fix this behaviour? Hopefully Matt666 wont mind me editing his plugin. Tested in SU2017 in model with and without selections. C2G.rb

Hi Jackson. To speed up your rendering have to tried to simply select the entire model, right click and set everything to Static. You can reset it all back to Dynamic as needed. I work with large city models too and this speeds up rendering a lot. Regards Garth

Ughhh, I just re-read that and realised it wasn't very clear, I edited my first line. It only happens (thankfully) when you export jpg animations, not when you export 2d graphics. I use this method so I can batch export perspectives, elevations, sections and plans from skp models which can take up to 30 minutes in total. I'm not sure if font affects it (I just used Arial), but I suspect the two issues I mentioned are connected as it is the largest font (the "C") which moves out of alignment the most and the "horizontal copy" bug becomes more pronounced the larger the font size.

Thanks Craig, advise from an expert is always welcome. When I bought the Nolan helmet I was careful about the size and it fitted well .... snug as you say. Its a nice helmet which allows a bluetooth device for phone but a little heavy to town riding. Maybe okay on motor-ways though. On the 'training track', fortunately a new Furniture Store has opened just up the road from me with a large car park. It even has speed ramps! I've been going there in the evening 7-8pm getting used to things. Its dark at this time here but it is well lit. Oh! they also have security cameras and I'm now wondering if they are thinking that I might be casing the joint when they look at the videos in the morning

Yay! We've missed you man! Sometimes I wish there was a forum equivalent to the neighbourly wave- you know when you both leave for work at the same time, you can go years without ever actually speaking, but that little nod and wave can be all you need to start the day feeling good about the world. 30lbs lost huh? Amazing achievement- looking good in your avatar! In fact, maybe you were around here all along, we just couldn't see you!

Answering my own question here, but seeing as the Interweb drew a blank for me on the ""Prop Res DLL not loaded" problem I thought I'd post my solution here for others. I completely uninstalled Photoshop CS3 and deleted the registry key, then ran the registry cleaner tool in CCleaner http://www.ccleaner.com/ Then I ran Windows Install Clean Up http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301 Then I reinstalled Photoshop CS3 and it now seems to be working perfectly.

Thanks D, I read somewhere on the Vray forum about gamma correction to counteract desaturation- I followed their advice, but it didn't seem to help. I'll have to have another go with your suggestions as it obviously affects all my VRay renders, although some more than others.

doen a quick search, and first of, its anti spyware, not anti virus, so thats why you wouldnt have found it on any of the comparison sites. sources: http://www.adwarereport.com/mt/archives/000091.html http://www.download.com/Microsoft-Windows-Defender/3000-12771_4-10353597.html http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,1926597,00.asp admittedly, it doesnt get as bad reviews as i had previously suspected, but its certainly not the cream of the crop.

Thanks Eric, The best thing about it (if I may say so ) is setting it going using the SketchyPhysics plugin- it's great fun watching it slowly start moving before getting up to full speed. The blur is done using Lewis' brilliant SU Fog/Styles trick to create a depth map from SU and then copying that to the alpha channel in PhotoshopCS3 and applying the "Lens Blur" filter to select the focal distance and depth of field. http://www.sketchucation.com/scf/viewtopic.php?f=71&t=1156&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&hilit=depth+depth+map

Amazing. There's a giant indoor pool in Japan with a "sun" and waves and everything. I think it's close to the beach too. There's also that indoor skiing mountain in Dubai. SchreiberBike

Mike, "No matter what career your kids head towards they will no doubt need computer skills. It seems that computers are becoming part of everyday life." Absolutely- in fact I was gobsmacked a few months ago when I discovered that my girlfriend is a total whiz at graphic layouts, presentation and animations in Powerpoint- a program I have yet to master. I thought her computer skills would be soley scientific in nature- statistical analysis, spreadsheets and word processing; I had no idea that her graphic presentations were so advanced for presenting findings- I was blown away with her graphic and animation work. why instead of a corner bar mugshot gallery don't you all create avatars with your mugshots? it seems to me to be the simplest alternative.
