RE: Sketchup clock/time
Hi Marek,
Just want you to know, I found this [Plugin] Put shadow on current day and hour in the plugin index by accident.
Not really accident, was checking on Matthew's plugins beside Toggle Unit.so, now there are two scripts or plugins about shadow's issue?

RE: [Plugin] Sketchup Ivy
I just realised that this plugin put components into a model right away after sketchup started.
Does it meant to work that way?
Found Ivy's components in the comp browser when I check it. After seeing how a door model file size became around more than 1 MB.Still learning to use this plugin.
Thank you Pierre -

I wrote a plugin some time ago that do the same thing, and you can choose entities you want to "normalize", and if the script has to analyze nested entities.

RE: Maxwell vs IDX Renditioner
That's right. Kerkythea Echo 2008 is officially the latest version.
There is also Kerkythea Boost version which is still under development.
You can get the Boost version in the forum if you'd like to try the dev version. -
RE: Rendering engine you would suggest a newbie
Hi there Nick,
Sorry, I wasn't here when you post the reply. I've already have the Silverlight actually. Buried down into several level of folders.

[*] Is it possible that the file was at a temporary location? Any problems that could be caused with access rights / "Virtual Store" etc.?
that's what came into my mind also. a VM might give that kind of syndrome. i prefer to have anti malware or antivirus rather than using VM. in a rush, one might forgot that he's been working on a VM environment.
perhaps it's also a good idea not to leave any application on when you're not using it. also not to force windows shut down when there are several application are still active. they might still have some data either on the RAM or the virtual memory in page file.wish you luck.

RE: Why does SketchUp lose days of work
that's something i've never heard before too.
unless you're using something like DeepFreeze, etc.
windows system restore wont run automatically either.
unless your update failed and triggered the system restore to run. -

pathcopy.rb by rick wilson does the same thing.
Hi Edson,
i know that one too. from Dave R tutorial or something. on making a lawn chair or deckchair.
i think the pathcopy.rb have a little flaw that it might leave some components unaligned to the path.
component stringer by the exhibit shows that it has the ability even to modify the alignment.
don't know for sure. -
RE: Learning & practising on model req by friend (KT)
I forgot where exactly did i got the resources for the column material.
Posted in the KT forum either by tridem or massimo, don't remember which one.
Provided to offer a help to a KT user asking about stone material. No further info afterward.Just trying to make use the good looking mat, although I'm a total newb on that matter.
As I said earlier, I'll share it if it worth it. No reply on validating the mat in the forum yet. They probably very busy with all of those render apps development including KT Boost development. -

The past month has seen a few threads devolve into flinging shit at one another. Not to sound like a jerk but is SCF really a place for such topics? I prefer to see gallery submissions, problems solved etc than a debate which has raged for 100's of years already.
