    • RE: What is that plugin...?

      Hi Stick
Thank you for the info and opinion.
Honestly I don't pay much attention to that. Really sorry for that.
Another thing, actually I do respect (and probably a fan of the Germans). In most football World Cup series, I've always been their supporter and fans. Always been "Der Panzer" fan.
Note that (put aside the one I mentioned) they were good even if they're facing almost all other Europeans at the same time. Not to mention the US, Canada, etc. I might be a fan for the British in most field, but for certain, like any other people here in this country who knows the history - we like the Germans for their characters, discipline, science, technologies, etc. Most of the British that I like are from the cultural elements.
Political ideology mostly in histories are temporary. But the main nation character may stand longer.

The forum is about SketchUp. Let's put this ideo political aside for good.

      Cheers.

PS: I do think most northern Europeans are Germans though. Including British, Celtics, etc. Have a good time.

      Thank you, Andrew.
Just tried to check with some network tools here. It seems that the connection was blocked somewhere.
Results are: Korea, German and the last one straight to Berlin.
Using anonymous proxy brought me there successfully.

[ed] btw, perhaps this is a mistake. any of those link checkers shows up WOT rate at -1 at least.
perhaps we should note Tomasz for that. i don't know for sure.

Yes, he did that using plugins. SDS and Artisan if I'm not mistaken.
I am not sure. Whether SDS is part of Artisan or not. It's a commercial plugins.
Worth if you are an architect for certain.

      Eric,
I found the same thing posted in Facebook. That's a good point of view for pragmatist and opportunist of course.
I replied on the comment line:

The English version will be developed later, when the ideas will be fully realized (native language). Everything is just beginning - the next version will appear: transitions, tees, flanges, plugs. It also will be able to define their own norms and standards.

if the plugin will be available in English version and shared here too.
      if it is true.

i don't know if it's necessary to place the spotlight into the ceiling there.
thank you for the info massimo

i made this for a friend. put the spotlight components outside the lighting components.
change the lighting component's surface with fake emitter.

Thank you, Dave. I've never thought of using either soft shadows or lights.
Mostly using the preliminary custom preset for quick setting and rendering.

    • Skp Model File Size

I am afraid if this might sounds silly. Still curious about it since I've been trying to use either version.
Why do the same model may become bigger in file size in SketchUp 8 than SketchUp 6?

      Thank you in advance.

i've been thinking to upload the materials in KT forum. to ask others opinion and correction on the materials. it's still not worth to share now i'm afraid.

    • RE: Rotan Chair

      yes, Steve
that's how they tied those rotan bars. there is no other way around to make it smaller, either in file size or poly count. i did that on purpose, trying to mimic how people tied them up. i might try to erase one part. but that might seems to be a not well tied up rotan bar. thought that way i decrease the need to make bigger components, etc πŸ˜›

here's one of the picture i took as an example. i know you are very good at modelling complex things like car. perhaps you can teach me how to do the chair model in a better way.
