Would it be possible to have a toolbar/dialog box which would have buttons that would save a v7 and v6 of the current file into a location ...

dialog Box to browse to folder ...

[Filename]_version6.skp

Would this be possible?

Say select a layer from the layers toolbar then click a button to turn it off in all scenes or have a drop-down meny to choose which one(s)

I know there are other projects like the REAL Scene Manager / Layer Manager

is there a way to weld multiple lines at once ?

my workflow :

Import cad lines to adobe illustrator ...

then select all, object/ paths/ simplify ... play with settings

Export to dxf/dwg from adobe illustrator

open the new cad file in autocad ... check the scale as it will probably open up in different units, or if you know a particular dimension then you can just scale them once inside sketchup with the tape measure tool

hey, i managed to get it too work finally .... yes i had to close the gaps in the lines ...

although i tip i found using adobe illustrator to simplify the contour lines then import them worked well

What i tend to do when working on a collabrative model is to create a blank model with an osmap locked in a layer for example ...

Then each building or groups of buildings created in seperate skp models by different people, are inserted as components.

Then when changes are made, just right click on the components in the master model and choose reload ....

No plugins required

Im trying to produce scaled plans and sections from my model using layout ...

i create one plan using a scene i saved in the model ... and position it where i want on an a3 landscape i change the scale to 1/100

after duplicating this to create the next one i change the scene and it jumps back to a default scale and when i change it back to 1/100 the position of the 2d image is different to the first ...

how can i stop this ?
