By the way hanthu, HERE is a wonderful, and quite remarkable series of videos exploring the 4th dimension and related dimensional tensors. Not sure if they still offer the 720P versions for download anymore, but they are still beautiful to watch.

Option one: Disable sun and use only GI for lighting. Option two, what I have used for scenes like the one you posted: Add a surface where the ceiling should be, on the side facing the interior, apply a material. One the side facing the camera, apply a transparent material. That makes it opaque for shadows and external lights, but the camera still sees inside. You then need to place lights inside to light it.

Here's how I would approach it. model the entire lamp profile and create the object as a revolved shape. the shade should be a simple single plane so you can apply a 2-sided material 3.Go to the Chaos Group youTube page and watch the video on 2-sided material setup. I would use a copper metal material with a noise displacement map to get that hand crafted effect. This may take some time to figure out.

Are you reffering to this: http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=323&t=20781&hilit=plugin or is it the sculpt brush tool in Artisan? Artisan video tutorial - Sculpt brush: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pE5rHkgiNVc There is also an excellent example of modeling a pillow without plugins - using SU sandbox tools: http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=79&t=34179&p=303018&hilit=pillow#p303018

Hold arrow keys to adjust radius. Press up+down to reverse displacement vector. See here: http://www.scribd.com/doc/68663595/Artisan-Quick-Reference

I actually think that you need to get to know SDS aka Artisan : http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=323&t=34868&hilit=artisan . Also for a extruding the edge you can use JPP joint push pull : http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?t=6708. Now depends on how your imagination works. Cheers!
