I doubt very much that you will find a plugin that simply creates that structure for you. It will require quite a lot of hand editing. Here is an earlier topic on modelling the roof of the British Museum that might be of some help. I think you may have to begin by constructing arcs with the correct number of segments, then proceed from there.

Were you required to walk 500 miles? Were you advised to walk 500 more?

          Hi Kelvin,

this would be the first step. Build the first individual element of the truss structure. Then you group them and copy them. Then you make a group from the copies. Then you can use "Shape bender" to create the arc shape. Then you can use the pipe plugin (as shown below). Is perhaps not so easy, but practice makes perfect.

Hey Kelvin, I did this in about 10 min. If I get a chance at lunch I will recreate in a video. Plugins I used were Joint Push Pull for a volume, Sphere for the nodes and Lines2Tubes, same as Charly.

thanks, eric. this is brilliant!!! 😍 😍 you have quite a knowledge of basic geometry. you make quite a complex construction look simple. congratulations.

I only wish I could understand the future use of all those geometry classes when I was at school...

Eric, what I learned from the video was not so much the geometry, but the value of stopping and thinking about your workflow before starting. That was very useful.

By the way hanthu, HERE is a wonderful, and quite remarkable series of videos exploring the 4th dimension and related dimensional tensors.

Not sure if they still offer the 720P versions for download anymore, but they are still beautiful to watch.
