How have you found the output from the HD version?
Pretty good, I don't often use 1920x1080, I prefer something along the lines of 1280x800, Which is Nice for most of my work, But on the rare occasions I've used 1920x1080, I've found it to still be as quick and easy to get good results quickly.

we should be asking bunkspeed to release something similar for SU.
Have you tried the Hypershot Forums yet? http://hypershot.hyperboards.com
Sometimes they can be quite helpful there. And if you need any more Help Matt, just ask me.
Oh, and Nice Borg Cube!

RE: Stuffed
That looks quite nice, How did you get the Toy to look so real, I didn't think SketchUp did Cloth to well.
-
RE: Living-room Bar
That looks very nice Stefan! And you have to admit, sometimes simple is good, Right?

RE: Mind Blowing
Would you mind if I had a shot at rendering the wonderful Droideka? I'll have a go at it in Hypershot, and then give you all the necessary info on how to try it yourself. Plus a might do a tiny bit of Post-Rendering work in a photo-editor.

RE: Hypershot ... I also to
Looks very nice so far rcossoli, Might I make one suggestion? For the glass, try using the Crystal Material, It works great if the car has no interior, but still looks very realistic.
Other than that, it's looking good.

RE: Blender, baby! (Some questions)

RE: Blender, baby! (Some questions)
Good old Blender.
Okay, On to the advice I can give you:
The UI is difficult, but you'll get used to it eventually. The SFX tools are handy, but similar to the rest of it, difficult to get into, but once your in, Plain Sailing. One of the features I really like is the Fluid Simulation, It's quite possible to mess around with it for hours without getting bored.
As for actually making models, I found it a bit tricky, Some Models(Like a simple car) could be made in minutes, But others can takes ages. I remember trying to make a basic blimp, and it took me 3 hours.
One of the other things that a lot of people are using blender for now is the game engine. It's very powerful if it's used correctly. What I would recommend is to have a look through the wiki for some tutorials, even if they don't really interest you, do them. Then I would head over to http://blenderartists.org/forum/ They are nice folks there, and are more than willing to help new users.
Also check out http://www.blendernation.com/ As they can have some very helpful articles.
And the final bit of advice, is have a read through: http://www.blenderart.org/issues/. They usually have some good short tutorials that are well written.
Just remember, my first blender model was this:

RE: Hello...
Or there's Hypershot: http://www.bunkspeed.com
Very easy to use, and very quick.

RE: Monstret's ongoing projects.
Those look really good! My Favorite so far is the LA Sewage Plant.
That sounds like a very interesting project, Any idea where he gets the blueprints?

RE: Only above average IQ people should vote????
ATS?! Hahaha
Seriously, from my experience of surfing the web, that site has come up with more strange things than I dare to talk about.
I'd take anything said there with more than just a pinch of salt, I'd use the whole container.

RE: Mind Blowing
That looks really good so far, I'd also say what the others said, try to improve your use of materials. Like on the Hydraulic pieces on it's arms and on the eyestalks, try adding a shiny silver material. Even small things like that can make a big difference.

RE: Help with Speedboat
Pilou, Did you use the Soap Bubble for that? And could you please post a picture of the boat from the top so I could see how it was done?
-
RE: Help with Speedboat
Yeah, I didn't have a chance to look at the model last night, and I'm not to sure how I'm going to be able to do it. Perhaps you could do a tutorial?
-
RE: [Plugin]Matchbox_r1.1
Great! A New version! I'll test it out right away.
As for what to do next, How about adding components like Wing Mirrors and Fenders randomly.

RE: Help with Speedboat
Thanks very much Modelhead, I knew I was messed up somewhere.

RE: The queen is hot, so get it on...
Well Durant, if you fail in the Image department, you could always try writing, As difficult as that was to make out, it gave me a good laugh
It's a longshot, but you could try emailing the folks at 3DWorld Magazine, They have a Q&A Section, there email is: 3dw.qanda@futurenet.co.uk
After that I'm stumped.
