Ooh! This sounds good! I'll give it a shot as soon as I buy a bigger Memory Stick. I've only got a 512 MB at the moment.

    • RE: Buying a MacBook?

Hmmm... Thanks for that Remus, I'll mostly be doing 3D Work, A bit of Photoshop, and a bit of Flight Sim.

I guess I'll stick with Windows then. Thanks for the advice.

    • Buying a MacBook?

Hello Folks! I've come into a tiny bit of money, and I am thinking of buying a 13 Inch MacBook like this one: http://www.apple.com/macbook/

      My Questions are:

Would it be able to run in reasonably high temperatures?

Is there a way to run software designed for Windows?

Is it worth spending the money when I can buy a very powerful non-Mac computer?

Great Link! I too am amazed by that Firetruck 😲 Did they use a helicopter?! I also thought the Transformation of the statue into Masterchief was quite good.

That's looking pretty good so far Robert! It would be great if you could scan some images from those books, I've PM'd my email to you.

Might I ask why there are so many lines on the East side of the city wall?

And Sorry I haven't been able to get any more pics of the project, I've been doing a lot of traveling, and haven't set up my SketchUp PC yet.

Hey Rogue, that's looking really good!

By the way, have you had a chance to do anything with that .gif I sent you?

Very interesting Thingymajig, The first thing I thought of when I saw it was a tree with a forest fire coming towards it.

      Cool!

I think you might want to have it visible and only allow new members if another member known to you
will vouch for them. But to not see it at all is going a little overboard.

I think an idea like that is very good.

I have seen a lot of forums where most of the users are say, under 15, And one of the biggest problems with such websites are arguments. Or at best "Heated Discussions". So how will that be kept under control without all the junior members feeling that the "Adults" are being mean?

I still think the whole idea is great though.

id suggest someone defines all the major materials in the scene

So for example specify that "that table" is wood and so on?

      @unknownuser said:

It might also be an idea to have a preferable render method (mlt, bidir-pt etc.) again so that the comparison is as objective as possible.

But that won't be possible in programs like Hypershot. It's only got one option.

    • RE: Render Poll

Okay, How about we use a scene off the 3DWarehouse, and then try to render it with our favorite programs. All with the same camera angles.

Really Great! I love the Blue Material. Might I ask, what sort of license are you releasing these under? I mean if I were to make a model with one, and sell it, would you mind(Theoretical question only)?

I might be able to donate a few images... I've got a collection of about 100 photos that I kept meaning to turn into textures, I'll send you a PM when I get back onto my other PC.
