RE: MSPhysics 1.0.3 (16 October 2017)
Sounds good. This could be a reason to purchase SketchUp 2019...

RE: A few of my models, used in the LAZARUS comic book
Absolutely outstanding work! Thank you for the presentation here in the forum. Which techniques and which software do you use for the visualizations? How are the characters and their gestures created - 3D models or are they drawn into the pictures?

RE: Orgelf's works. second topic.
I have to apologize for my English translation. I wanted to write "funniest and craziest work".

RE: Orgelf's works. second topic.
I was in China and Tibet not so long ago and believe that you have a similar approach to the representation of complex religious thought worlds as the people there. But for me, from the perspective of a designer and architect , that is beyond good and evil. As a nature-loving person, a praying mantis for me is not the symbol of a devil. Nevertheless, what you present here is the funniest and greasiest work I've seen in SketchUp ...

RE: [Plugin] Layer Manager New Release
Yes, it works great (for me in SU2016Pro and SU2017Free). Thanks Didier!

RE: Camera Simulation with MSPhysics
For that purpose you can find very good scripts in models of István Nagy in 3D Warehouse:
MSPhysics 1.0.1: Follow- and fix camera script
MSPhysics 1.0.1: Car with particle effect -
RE: [Plugin] Component/group tools
Thanks sdmitch, used your code snippet to convert components to groups for MSPhysics. The reason is that MSP does not accept components for coupling with joints. The conversion of about 200 components with subcomponents into groups would have taken a long time...

How high is the level of SketchUp in your profile??? you little liar..

Hi HornOxx, your steel monster is definitiv cooler than all the competitors and a big fun and a great product presentation and, and, and...
If I had time I would love to throw a little bit MSPhysics over it and would like to see it's adventures on the dark side of the moon… -
RE: MSPhysics tests and questions
There is a link to the Scripting Documentation in the first post of Anton_S regarding his MSPhysics plugin: https://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=323&t=56852

RE: Urban simulation with MSPhysics
Steps to the final layout…
A few frames from video sequences with overlay of rendered and sketchy tracks.
The final version is kept in color, to give a better feeling for the warm summer rain.
Used SketchUp, IndigoRT, FotoSketcher.

RE: SketchUp 2019 Homepage
Dave_R is right. Object animations are feasible in SketchUp, thanks to dynamic components or current plugins from AntonS and Fredo6. Animating people or other creatures in SketchUp is a bit more complicated, especially if it's about going beyond repeating simple movements ...

RE: SketchUp 2019 release
After reading all this, I think rather ambiguously about the many opposing and the few for-opinions.
Besides, I'm too dr... again ...
At some point I got stuck for my day work on SUp8 Pro, because it was pretty good. Then a few years later on SUp16 Pro ascended, because it was probably also stable (it actually runs ...). For my private animation fun I use SUp17 Make now because it is required for MSPhysics and also runs very well.
Since almost all plugins have reached a high level and I can sometimes even reprogram something myself, I am quite satisfied.
I think, for the visualization of my architectural designs, I will come up with the "old" program versions for a while (even with the few remaining errors).
I've been flirting with Blender, Unreal and Unity for years, never really found the time to go into it. Also, because I find SketchUp so original (rudimentary), spontaneous and somehow artistic. Here I can still hammer around on a natural stone plate with the hand ax ... and other SUp fans think that's great ...
I think that I still stick to SUp24 like this. (At work, we had a hard-to-follow flow from AutoCAD to BricksCAD to Revit within a few years, leaving SketchUp a stable component)
Peace, friendship, pancakes! -
RE: Decent video editor?
The good old VirtualDub works perfectly under Windows 10 - and it's free …
And another recommendation is Shotcut - also free.
I use VirtualDub more for filtering and composing individual frames from animations or exporting image sequences.
Shotcut is good for overlaying video tracks, filters, audio, (titles) and the final cut. -
RE: SketchUp 2019 release
@ function: No way! That would be the ultimate end.

RE: Searching for Plugin "Add Bitmap to Materials (Mats)"
In the PluginStore is a version RamTools_BmpMats_v0.3 from 2017 - don't know if it is improved compared to the version in the original post of Rami_Ipm.
