If I install the PLE version of Infinite or Xstream and I wish to carry on using it commercially and without watermarks, can you register the PLE version and carry on working, or do you have to delete it and re-install a dedicated full version?

Question: I'm having trouble getting anything respectable looking out of my RP Trees when I render using sketchup. I think I understand how to improve the resolution for the trees, but my real issue is with the alpha masking--I'm getting nasty black areas around my trees. I think this has something to do with how it is masked or something. What do you recommend for the best quality images using RPtreemaker with vray for sketchup?

I don't understand where this question is from?
The thread starts directly with this quote.
Is it copied from another area or another site?

    • RE: Fountain Pen

Reading this thread made me go and buy a fountain pen!
I have not used one in 23 years!

I enjoy writing and I do sketch for work, so I'm looking forward to try it out.
I ordered a Lamy Safari in Black. Not expensive, but has some great reviews.

Reading up on fountain pens, it seems the ink used can make a big difference. If I enjoy using it, I may consider buying a converter and some good quality ink, instead of the cartridges.

It seems there are plenty of tutorials around (video) to purchase.

Are there any that people recommend?

You have the grass looking well now oli.
Are you using a mask with an image of grass?

    • Vue Question

I have several questions about Vue.

I'm seeing lots of nice renders coming from it and it's obvious advantage of landscaping/plants etc are tempting me to try it.

Firstly, which package is best to use bearing in mind I am architecture based?
      Vue XStream 8?

Will it create things like mountains, or rock faces etc.
For example if I have a SU model and I want a 20ft high rock face behind it, does Vue have the capabilities of creating this and is it a difficult thing to create?

I'm only really aware that it creates eco systems and I am sure it can do far, far more than I expect.

Is creating a SU model and exporting it to Vue workable? Is this a straight forward method?

I'm not really looking for detailed methods of how to do the above, I just want to know if it can do these things.

Very nice. I love the windmill one.

Which version of Vue do you use?
I notice there are several types.

Set middle mouse button you want to use as orbit to Middle-Click in the Logitech software.

On my mouse (Logitech Revolution) the software allows me to assign keysstrokes to the middle wheel left and right button as you are requesting. So for example I push to the right for Move and to the left for Rotate.

    • RE: First Vue Render

Well if you are just starting to learn vue, you have to be very pleased with these. They look excellent.

A bit of tiling of the gravel mat below the water, but that's a minor point.

      Nice work.

I use this a lot myself, probably my 2nd most used ruby.
Mirror is by far the one I use most.

      I would use the button.

Have you tried 1001bit tools? It has a tool to make rectangular or circular tubes from edges.

Didn't realise you could do that with 1001. Which tool is it?

Agree about the Podium colours, they really work well.
Just needs a better glass reflection and it will make a big difference imo.

    • RE: Quick Sketchup presentation !

I did a three SU tutorials/training for beginners a few months ago and covering the basics took about 2.5 hours.

I then put a tutorial together where we created a house using all the basic commands I had shown such as move, copy, components, groups, follow me, construction lines etc
