I know I'm coming in late in the game, but I have read this post from it's beginning until the May 16th post above. Yet, I cannot learn more about this plugin for SU 2013 or why it's not in the current extension warehouse. Has there been any further development on this plugin and has it yet been able to be confirmed to be used by exterior render engines such as Shaderlight and Vray?

Is there a possibility that Drop Components by Bounds may not be working in SU2015?

RE: [REQ] SU scatter
Pete, just gave me the heads up on this post. Thank you Pete. This is exactly what I've been looking for. I've been manually building a proxy replace me model to solve this issue. But, JBB, if it's possible, I would love to test this as well. This looks so promising!

RE: [REQUEST] Simple bone structure
Pilou, I will have to try this and see how this works... and if I can get it to work as I hope it might. Again... thank you for the link.

Is v1.2 addressing texture mapping?

RE: Upholstered furniture
This is one of the most fantastic posts I have enjoyed in a long time! Congratulations should follow the Wow... but being so thoroughly amazed and enlightened, Wow as to still come as the last thought! WOW!
Great examples, wonderful tuts and a presentation that actually brings this close enough to home that anyone who wanted could do the same. I appreciate this allot.

Thanks for a great script.

Would it be possible to add an attribute to all the existing scenes in the model that they are "keyframes" and then add scenes for every frame in the animation with an attibute that they are "inbetweens" and add scene transition times according to your smoothstep script.
The script should then be able to delete all the "inbetweens" if you want to change the animation but leave the "keyframes" intact.
I believe this would make it work with external renderers.
What do you think, is it doable? That's a cool idea and definitely doable!
I'll do some experimenting.Whaat, was the experimentation on Pixero's suggestion a success, completed or has further development continued?
This quote above is exactly what I'm interested in finding more about.
I've tried proper animation to set up the basics of movement, then used those scene to create keyframes and those frames can be batch rendered. However, that's allot of work without the smoothing here. I'm thinking that Pixero's idea would resolve allot of conflicts.
What is the newest news? Has this been continued on a newer, more current thread?

RE: DAZ + SketchUp models
Thanks guys. Actually, with little information on the subject, I decided in the end to import from Zbrush. having the hands sculpted for the product ended up being much more realistic in the end (I think anyway). And, though still curious... it is not pressing as it was. So, again... thank you.

RE: DAZ + SketchUp models
Actually, I recently had a similar reply on an older post that said, "I'm four years older!".
I'm digging them out of the dust for this.... cough, cough. -
RE: DAZ + SketchUp models
Do I understand that beyond a certain "period"... we should let old posts die?
I couldn't find a more current thread on DAZ and SU use... sorry.
Is there a more current thread that deals with this subject? I'd love to read up on it if so.

RE: [Plugin] Skel_animation base extension 1.01 +.02
Driven sent me to this thread and glad he did.
I'm very interested in knowing if there has been any further development on this since fall of 2011?
I clicked on the website link... wouldn't load (http://glasier.hk/lab.php)
And of course, I saw the video. Thank you for sharing with us. But can you share what the advances have been since?

RE: Recent Works Gallery :::::
SilverShadow sent me here and I'm so glad he did. A real pleasure to see this work. Inspirational. I'm not a fan of 2D cutouts... but, this is some of the best use I've seen.

RE: [PLUGIN] Flowify v1.1.0 (updated 150327)
This looks amazingly useful!
tt_su's question about meshes is good.
How does this wrap textures? Are they projected in the same way as meshes?

RE: [REQUEST] Simple bone structure
Pilou and Faust, thank you for responding.
I was hoping to get more time with Brekel Kinect with .bvh support with Leap Motion Capture and use Simfonia animation tools to import the .bvh data into SU. But... dang.... fairly expensive tool, that last one and didn't seem like it would be easy to work with a high poly model.
Are there ANY other options than what I've just mentioned than the stop motion animation process described in the videos above?
The Keyframe Animation Plugin seemed like it was going to take about the same amount of time with much more control of the model than the path I had originally chosen.

RE: [REQUEST] Simple bone structure
I have a current project that desired keyframe animation with finger movement of a hand on a product design. After research, I purchased the Leap Motion Capture USB device and soft to record the .bvh data. Unfortunately, I couldn't get a response from Leap about technical issues in time, so abandoned the idea for a keyframe animation without the finger manipulation (simple fixed hand animation from one point to another as a consolation).
However, I was dreaming during this whole experience that there was a way to import into SU the Zbrush bone structure or something similar to help manipulate a high poly SU model. Since, I've been curious if SU being 64 bit now has others pondering or working on solutions for bone structure, .bvh data recording and model animations.
This thread is more than interesting for this reason... Silvershadow, thanks for introducing this subject. I'm following with anticipation.

RE: HELP Please MAX to SketchUp
Kim Frederik,
That's a worthy comment to read and something to think about. Perhaps, if I can obtain a Thea for Max version, I will do exactly that for the future. I'm not in the position to invest more... but, that sounds great. Thank you.
I know there is still a solution for this somehow... but, this sounds like a great band-aide.Peter, thanks for the intervention. Much appreciated.
