New update downloaded today.
Thank you so much.
I too am a Mac user as well as PC. I'd be more than willing to be your guinea pig for test on both.
Animation in SketchUp has been the dream since I first heard that it made scenes. Everything else has been like pulling teeth to get good animation. Last project I worked on was horrendous with Proper animation tools, tweens at 25 fps for blinking lights and everything had to work with only the 8 allowed positions available with the Proper Animation plugin.
SO, I AM SO HAPPY TO DISCOVER THIS HERE! (Thank you Solo for sharing the link!)
I use both Mac and PC. I'd be more than happy to assist in anyway I can. Please consider me for any testing. I have a WIP spaceship project that is rigged for flight, opening landing gear and tail movement for landing, turrets and more just WAITING for this.

And if possible to get some basic movement from the people models for (not TOO close) shots on landing.... cool.

As I'm working with Thea, I can't wait to participate in testing, if available or get my hands on this.
Congratulations on the initiative.
Can't WAIT!
Adrian, I've shared your video in the GSG FB page.
Very well done, considering the tools available.
Bravo.

Countdown clock ticking away. Ready, set,......
Do you suppose there would be work-arounds or a way to reduce the memory, despite the quantity of components? Like... inventing components that bend with reduced complexity?
I'm wondering if Thomthom's plugin work might actually help solve that issue?
Or... as Pete suggested... It's a pipe dream?
Is this the same model on 3Dwarehouse?

If this model is unauthorised, let me know and I'll remove the link from this post.

Thanks.
That is quite remarkable to see. Thanks for continued posts to this thread.
Can this be used to select/deselect layers on scenes?
For example: Keyframe animation of 400 frames at 25 fps. Animation is perfect. I want to add a blinking light on/off every half second. Can this be used to add that light component on/off to a group of 14 frames and off for 14 frames via this type of programming?
Have I missed something in the comments or is Visualizer 1.3 off topic?
Though I've read this thread and others, and the link to the .pdf (https://ligonsketchers.files.wordpress.com/2011/03/proper-animation-tutorial.pdf), I have not found the answer that explains how to do the following:
Scene 01: Camera 01 - Proper animation HOLD till camera 02
Scene 02: Camera 02 ( midpoint dolly to camera 3) - Proper animation get position 01 (start)
Scene 03: Camera 03 - Proper animation get position 02
Scene 04: Camera 04 - Proper animation get position 03
Scene 05: Camera 05 - Proper animation HOLD or repeat position 03
I read in the manual: To Unlink objects animation with “scene” changes, in order to “set” new adjusted positions
I've been trying this for a couple weeks and still cannot find a tutorial for creative use of the plugin or a manual that has this information. But, the scene delay times seems like the proper way to accomplish this... but, I can't get it as I'd like. Is there a video that demonstrate precision use of scene delay times to do this right?
Can it be done?
Thank you
Only discovering SketchUV now, this post more than becomes relevant. Definitely following.
This is the most amazing thing I've seen in a while. Brilliant! I've been following a little... but, just took the time to really look at this. I can't believe what this does for workflow! I'm sharing this with friends... people have GOT to know about this.
Unless... of course... I'm the last one of my friends to start paying attention... either way. I'm really excited to use this. Thank you for sharing with us.
That is sad news to hear. With so few resources for animating in SketchUp, this looked like a tool that would help bridge the gap for convincing presentations.
Thank you for responding. I appreciate that.
ok... I discovered my issue with the Drop Components by Bounds . The proxies I was dropping were overlapping. By editing the proxy to a small square (since discovering that a single line won't smart drop), all proxies dropped in the vertical and correctly against the face's plane. Once dropped, edit the proxy again to it's original size... and voila... it worked. Took some time to get to this point... but... now, the work around for grass group proxies worked.
I love this (even though it takes a step or two for overlapping groups) for dropping a single object where it needs to be. Car dropping is with ease as well as other non overlapping instances.
Congratulations and THANK YOU!
Thomas, You rock!
I am still having a devil of a time trying to get this to work. I would like to set o set up an SU 2015 (B folder) for just testing plugins without effecting my current Su 2015. Anyone know how to do this?
Like Pete, if I can get the time… I will. However, just the fact that there is another challenge for rendering is an encouraging thing. Thanks for giving the opportunity.
