      Thank you, JQL. after checking the object carefully, I realized that there was another object/colored layer on top of it. After deleting it, the shadows appeared as they should.

      Hybrid is the rendering option for a SU model reference inside LO. If the SU model dialog window shows "hybrid" in the lower right, then that model will output (print, pdf etc.) as hybrid. It's not a sort of export. Hybrid is a rendering of the SU model so that the edges are vectorized (relatively hard and sharp lines) and the textures and shadows and other SU raster effects are still visible.

      I suspect that half of them are NOT SKP files, BUT SKB files. That is a backup file. If you are working on a model and something goes disastrously wrong, then you can rename its SKB as a SKP. It's the version of the model at the point where you did your last save, so you only loose work back to that point in time. If you are no longer working on a model and are happy it's been saved OK, then keeping the SKP but removing the SKB is not an issue. Do you not backup your model files onto another drive etc, so if you have a catastrophic failure your earlier work is safe ?

      As Dave says... OR if you have the SketchUcation PluginStore Toolset installed, then you can use its submenu item to 'Install Archive...' The native Installer expects an RBZ archive, but the SCF installer works on both RBZ and ZIP archives - meaning you don't need to fiddle around with the file renaming step - just install from the ZIP in one step. Also if you happen to have a lone RB file... then you can also zip it, and use the SCF installer directly on that new zip file too...

      Yes if you use Photoshop or Gimp or any other image editor. You have to have skills though. You can also combine simple renders with SU output for faster/non photo realistic/conceptual renders. For instance, if you use any render engine you can render an image just with a/some light source(s) and mix it with SU output. If this light pass render is made only of matte white materials, glass and mirror, no sun, no sky(or black sky) it will be faster to clear than a full material render. You can render multiple passes per view and mix them all in the image editor: Light pass; Specular pass; Diffuse pass; Etc. Search on google for "tutorials render passes"

      Yes! A straight JPG or PNG export from SketchUp won't have reflections, soft shadows, bump mapped textures and other features of an image after the model is processed in a rendering application. A rendering application can create nearly photo-realistic images which you'd never get out of SketchUp directly.       That's because CorelDraw is 2D! SketchUp is 3D. Orientation of axes is a whole different game when you are viewing a 3D space, especially when perspective camera is on.
