Designed to take advantage of the fact you don't need a building permit for a building under 98 sq ft in this area of Finland, this came in at 96 sq ft.

From this I wonder if a Mac version will even be out within a year.... 😢

We want to release the plugin for both platforms simultaneously. Thea4SU user interface is based on multi-platform library that will give Mac's version a native look. I will post a screen-shot or a short video, when we will have an OSX build.

Sorry for the confusion, I should have added the above quote to my comment.
I believe the only integrated software I cannot use with Thea is Colimo, as it is only PC based at the moment, as it was developed for DirectX not open GL. But it too is in the works from Motiva.

I think all of us Thea/SketchUp addicts have been really anticipating this. This is fantastic news, and will make my, and many of our workflows so much more streamlined.
Thanks soooo much for all your hard work.
I purchased Thea days after it was first released, and I cannot believe the advances that have been made (all I should add at no additional cost above the original licenses).
      What an awesome team.

An Algebraic Model for Parameterized Shape Editing
It's exactly what I think, Dynamic Components that play as a team. No BIM is needed.

I don't know. It seems like you just get used to one system and they eliminate it or make it bloatware.
Maybe we should go retro, you know, a calendar book, a pen, and those zippy pocket protectors ( that radical stripped shirt doesn't hurt either) 😄 Screen shot 2012-05-12 at 6.50.15 AM.png

I think I have already hinted at it, and as the examples in this thread show, I think there is something extraordinary going on in Norwegian architecture and design.
I have a friend who is a sculptor, and he lives on the prairies, because he says that in the mountains, artistically, "everything has already been done".
He goes on to say that on the prairies, if you erect a grain elevator, its shape and volume have such a presence, simply because of the lack of such on the prairie landscape.
From what I am seeing, Norway has recognized what it takes to create (sometimes in the most mundane structures, such as, power stations, power line towers, truck inspection stations, tourist lookouts) buildings etc, that really enhance the landscape, but also make you take notice.

This has been an interesting thread to follow.
I really would like to see SketchUp allowed to continue down the path it is on, after all that is why it is so unique amongst its peers.
So I can see the point of Trimble's integration into it's other software, but let the base engine develop as it has.
After all without the contribution of the Ruby masters, and the community in general sharing the methods of how they push the boundaries of this software, It would only be a quaint toy.
      Why fix what ain't broken.

These are small Run of River style power generation stations each capable of 30 GW power generation (enough power for about 1600 residences)
Where I live, these are common, but are usually strange looking small dams, and 1000's of meters of obtrusive pipe.
      Good on the Norwegians.

      Hi, Dale:
The preceding series is exquisite, and I appreciate greatly your posting them here. Inspiring stuff. Like you, I do appreciate the minimalist expressions. I think sometimes it takes great restraint not to overstate an idea.

Thanks Tim. I am very impressed at the way many of today's designers hone in on the "idea", and then work through it to come up with such elegant solutions, and as a consequence such functionally beautiful objects.
