My SectionCutFace tool does work... BUT because you can't export the SKP's SectionPlanes to external renderers you can't see the cut's faces, since the rest of the model is then in the way ! [It works fine in a SKP render though!!]

Is there a way I can use sectioncutface for vray? I don't want to use zorro since it will take a lot of time for pseudo destroying my model for this plugin.

There is a command-line utility for "scrambling" a Ruby source file, which outputs an .rbs of the same name.

For obvious reasons, an unscrambler isn't available.

Make sure you have a wall facing out and that your cutting component's Z [blue] axis is the same as the face's normal...
That is make sure the cutting-component and wall's face 'face' the same way ?

You need to ask yourself some questions:
What happens to the drives (containing your data) on these servers when they are decommisioned , the service goes bankrupt or if the hardware is stolen?
Do you know the poeple who run this company? (Would you give a CD-Rom of your most sensitive data to someone you do not know to keep?)
Would your clients be happy in the knowledge that their data and designs (for example banks, prisons, private residences etc.) are being stored in this way?
If your backup contains any personal data you have obligations under the Data Protection Act (UK) in terms of how the data is encrypted and secured. You will not have a defense if these obligations are breached in the context of storage on-line.
I do not think this 'spreads' risk but rather increases it.

there's another way....i found out...use the follow me within profile builder if you're using preloaded crossections.... 😄

This is an old topic, but this is how I managed this in SketchUp 2017 Pro:

Download & install Jim's plugin from the link above. Modify the file name format as you demand, in the plugin's preferences. Re-assign Ctrl+S to the plugin's SaveAs command, in SketchUp's preferences.

Now you can save an old-version copy of your work by pressing Ctrl+S.

I needed this solution because I am exporting models from SketchUp to Unity3D, which only supports up to version 2015, whilst I am working in version 2017.

This is super easy of a workaround but I hope this made it clear for you 😄)))

Go to the material browser > In model folder and right click on your texture thumbnail. There will be an item in the context menu to "Export texture image". IFit is a seamlessly tiling material in SU already, you get the original image which you can use as the source image for your bump map.
