To keep more than one file open together...we have to launch sketchup for every particular file...Is there a way or a plugin to open Multiple windows of different files in SU at one time??...just like we do in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Word, etc.

You just have to open the SKP files from a Windows file-browser rather that from within Sketchup - each SKP opens in its own instance of Sketchup. You can't open more than one SKP at a time within the same instance of Sketchup - if you try that then the current SKP closes and the other SKP opens...

Really? Is that actually what happens on Windows? Not like that on OS X, thank goodness. Since Windows used to be utterly in love with the MDI api it's hard to imagine they went so far the other way that you have to have separate copies if an executable for each file. And even if it appears that is the case, surely there is code-page sharing so that the data for each file is the only separate thing?
