RE: [Plugin]SketchyPhysics3 alpha.
So will you post another link to installer the new version? Sounds awesome!

RE: [Requested Plugin] Lathe tool
Nice thing about SU is there is always more than one way to skin a cat.
1- download the "projections" ruby and use the "insert construction point" tool. Click insert Construction point, touch one edge of the circles edge, touch another edge of the circles edge and then put your cursor towards the center and it should snap to center, click to insert point.
2-download the "Set Center Point" ruby. As soon as you first draw your circle, click on the surface to select it, then click Plugins, Set Center Point. This places a construction point in the center. Delete the face and carry on with the follow me steps.
I hope this makes sense and I hope I haven't told you something you already know.
Cheers, Jeff

RE: Push and pull
Just click on the link above. Nul is what is is called in the toolbar. It's a push pull that works with curved faces. It's very cool.

RE: Rigging ruby [req]
Pete,
I just watched your video above. I am so envious of your ability to model. I would love to buy a video tutorial or come and do some training from you. Any ideas on either?

RE: [Plugin]SketchyPhysics3 alpha.
Thanks Chris,
I downloaded the SKP file in the magnet thread and played with the settings. Very very cool! You script writers really don't get enough credit for your work. I guess it won't be long before you all band together and write your own Modelling program...eh?
This forum is the best!!!

RE: Gonna buy V-Ray?....check this site...
Very true....I am looking at adding to my programs and will be looking for good pricing on others soon...Rhino....Modo....CS4.

RE: Gonna buy V-Ray?....check this site...
Yes the price is great. I think what is going on is that http://www.vray.com bought volume licenses and got a large discount because of being a re-seller. The same happens with products where I work. They are working together.

RE: My first real render with V-Ray
Thanks Guys,
I don't mind any tips, so don't be shy. No HDRI image, just a jpeg as a background. No extra lighting added. Still learning but will get there.
Cheers, Jeff -
My first real render with V-Ray
Here is my first render worth posting. The V-Ray learning curve is shorter than I expected.

Gonna buy V-Ray?....check this site...
Hello everyone,
I just wanted to share my V-Ray purchase experience. I bought my copy from http://www.vray.com. Great price and all of my pre-buy questions answered pronto. I must have sent about 15 e-mails and on the weekend I might ad and they were all replied to within a few hours. The fellow I delt with is Scott. If you're thinking of buying V-Ray, this site is worth checking out. I know this sounds a bit like a typical testimonial ad, but I think anything said would...
Cheers,

RE: [Plugin] follow me rotate
Hi Miguel,
Great tutorial. I noticed some quick shots of your tools which don't look familiar. Would you mind posting a screen shot of your tools so I can see what ones you have that I don't?
Thanks,
Jeff -
RE: It's Incredible!
Hey Solo....any chance of posting just a small screen capture video of this process of the head?

RE: It's Incredible!
Pete,
You have done it again. You are truly a "Pro". Have you ever thought of private training or doing training seminars? If not you should and I'd be interested for sure.

RE: Drafting Compass
Yes...true about the name. My biz journey is getting there slowly. I just bought VRay and now need the time and some small projects to learn the program. I currently run a mill work shop for a custom trade show graphics and exhibit company. Eventually I'd like to get to the point where I'm doing prototyping and fabricating for product design and custom furniture. I will be buying Modo next month and continue adding to my programs. Any advise you can offer would be appreciated. Thanks Adam.

RE: Sketchup Training Camp....put on by Forum members?
Hi Mike,
Some great ideas....well, except bringing the girlfriends or wives (oh hi honey, no no...i was just kidding...course I want you to go....)I will start looking at flight prices just to get some idea if it is doable for me. Another idea is have two, a western hemisphere and an eastern hemisphere. Either way, I think SOMETHING needs to be organized.
