Thanks Nigel. I used to get SU e-mails stating training in my city on certain dates but haven't had any for awhile. Not sure if they've stopped. I sent an e-mail to Google awhile ago but got not reply. Guess I'll try again. Thanks again Nigel.

RE: Drafting Compass
I agree then. Going in a different or addition direction makes sense. So your focus is on "design" for the building/renovation industry then? I think with the recession starting, renovations will be more and new builds less. The BC, Canada, there is supposedly a tax incentive coming to renovate to kick start spending. Maybe your logo could have some sort of a transition in the design to represent the renovation aspect? Is your company name a definite choice?

RE: Drafting Compass
Hey Adam,
Those look good but to me they don't represent a landscape design company as much as it could. What if, instead of a compass you used a sundial. It is still a compass so to speak but is also associated with a garden usually. I just typed sundial in Google images. The dial part of it could be the "A" in atlas and you could really play around with shadows, seeing as that's how they work. Just a thought. Either way I'm sure your design will look great.

RE: What am I doing wrong with the settings??
Well....when you hit the play button, the ball drops but the noodle doesn't. I'd like to have many noodles stacked up and hit play and let the noodles fill the bowl as they land in it.

RE: How does one attain credentials for Sketchup?
Great...thx for your thoughts. As I mentioned before, maybe a SU forum training camp where all that attend provide there own tutorials of techniques and at the end, we all get a certificate stating we attended it. What do you think?

How does one attain credentials for Sketchup?
Hi all,
I've posted this question before but maybe there are now some of the SU Development members belonging to this forum that can reply? I'd really like to have something to back up my experience to show clients and colleagues.
Thanks,
Jeff -
RE: 30 Watt Fishbulb
Very nice renders both. When rendering, do you set the glass material to 0% opacity and reflection to 100%?

What am I doing wrong with the settings??
I can get the ball to drop but not the noodle...LOL. I wanna fill a bowl full of noodles.

RE: Vray site down?
Thom Thom,
Do you get Kraft Dinner where you live? The stuff is awesome. There must be a cook book out.....101 Ways to cook Kraft Dinner. -
RE: Vray site down?
Well I have decided to get both. VRay will be the first purchase and Modo probably next month. I still have to eat....or I could eat macaroni and cheese for a month I guess. I do have my priorities!

RE: Sketchup Training Camp....put on by Forum members?
I agree Linea. One of many of the reasons I am so PRO Sketchup is that forums like this, privately contributed ruby script writers, certain features like getting credit for uploaded and shared components, etc...is that is kind of gives me the feeling that I have some sort of ownership and say in this program. Regardless, there will always be issues of someone not being totally happy with something.
May we could have some offers or hands on tutorials and Q/A's with any plugin vendors as well, but again, keeping it focused on keeping it fun and sharing techniques and experiences. I really think it could be a win win situation for everyone, and, a good excuse for a holiday or trip. Look at it as a very fun business expense!Jeff

RE: Sketchup Training Camp....put on by Forum members?
Continent....hummmm. The way domestic pricing is on flights within Canada are, It's cheaper to fly to the US or Europe. I guess we would have to see who is into doing this and where they are from. As long as I have enough time to plan, the place shouldn't be too much of an issue. I think keeping it light and not too formal, the whole idea would be for us to have fun while we are learning. Much like it is on the forum. Basically, a live forum. Another thing I was thinking was a training DVD or Manual comprised of tutorials contributed by forum members and the sale proceeds can go towards some of the cost of a training camp. Any thoughts???

Sketchup Training Camp....put on by Forum members?
I could use a holiday coming up in the near future and I think it would be a great idea if I could combine it with Sketchup training. Would anyone be up for picking a location that is most central to the people interested and everyone brings their laptops and own tutorial contributions and make a few days of teaching and learning. Kind of an extension of this forum. I would be very interested in trying to be involved in something like this. Any one else in???
Cheers,

RE: Vray site down?
