So Stinkie,
You have both full versions then, Modo and Vray for SU?

Thanks Stinkie,
I guess I could always get both . I'll check out the links and thanks again. I've been e-mailing back and forth with VRay and Modo. They are both pretty hungry!
Cheers, Jeff
I haven't heard of Modo until Earthmover on the forum here brought it up and posted his renders. Always a bit slow to jump onto a new program.
Ya Rhino is nice. Haven't done much with it tho. Basically I'm after a good rendering program that either works inside SU or one I can import a SU model into, then render it.
OK, here's the purchase options for me:
Modo
-modeling
-animation
-sculpting
-rendering
745.00
VRay
-awesome rendering
-already bought SU7 Pro(495.00)
699.00 + SU7Pro = 1194.00
See my problem?
What would YOU do???
Jeff
Hi people,
Have a look at this site. Are they distributors for asgvis.com? Not sure where I should buy it...

Trying to get on the VRay website but it seems to be down. Anyone know why?
Jeff
Nice stuff....not boring at all. I heard VRay is working on a stand alone app.... anyone else heard?
Jeff
Great stuff....Are you applying separately to lets say the upright columns...then the roof frame...etc? Are the intersecting corners coming out nicely trimmed? Thanks for your input. I appreciate it.
Jeff
Those are impressive drawings Bob. Your exploded views are great. Is this a prototype you plan on making? What is your job and background....just curious.
Cheers,
Jeff
I guess I am looking for some examples of perfect situations to use it and some tricks that may be time saving. Anything would be good.
Thanks,
Jeff
Can someone please post the original thread address to when FFD was release here with a video.
Thanks, Jeff
Pete.....you just keep amazing me. Which rubys/tools did you use if you don't mind me asking....and rendered in ???
Jeff
Hello all,
Anyone know of any tutorials on the new Profile Builder Ruby other than the PDF?
Thanks, Jeff
Thanks Solo,
Really good tut. I didn't know you could use protrude on any other shape besides square/rectangle. I learn here every day. Cool render.
Cheers,
Jeff
Thanks James and Eric,
Appreciate your advise. It worked great. Here's my first wheel. Took a bit longer than it should have but now I know how to do it. It sure was tiring
Cheers,
Jeff
Remus,
Don't worry. I'm not jumping ship. I love SU and have been buying the latest plugins and will continue to do so. I know your kidding around but I just don't want to be buying any other programs without researching them first.
Solo and Earthmover,
Thanks for your input and I will check out your programs. Have either of you tried Rhino?
Appreciated,
Jeff
I'm looking at slowly switching my career focus to more computer design etc and was wonder, what are the most commonly used programs people on here are using and what are they used for? Looking for input. List in your reply if you like.
Cheers, Jeff
