      Hi,

      @jgb said:

Before you distribute the SKP file, make it "Read Only".
Then they change whatever they want, but not save it.

But a password enabled "Edit Allowed" as you suggest is a better way.

Unfortunately, this solution does not work!

    • RE: Help - Preference window will not open

      Hi Jim,

I have version 8.0.15158. I also had a problem with the Preferences window after I had installed a plugin.
      See this link: http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=47948.

Me helped only a system recovery to a day earlier.

    • Problem with Preferences Window (Solved)

      Hi,

today I have the following problem. The preferences window show only the contents of Files, General and Template. All the others are empty. The menu bar will be gray just before the Preferences window appears. Has anyone else had this problem and may have a solution for it? Maybe it is related to the "plugin loader from Alex Schreyer" which I have tried before.

I did a system recovery and now it works normally again.

      Hi,

for a dental practice I find the colors horrible! As you get already depressed when entering . The "rendering" is well done.

      Hi,

I have "Windows 8" installed in a virtual PC. Sketchup is running inside very fast and without problems.

      Hi Mike,

if I understand you correctly then Curviloft (Fredo) or Extrude Edges to Vector (TIG) could be the right one.

      Hi,

my question may not fit entirely on this thread. But the picture above shows itself SketchUp with other colors in the border and the windows. How Can I change the colors?

      Hi,

With the new logo we have to live, and we will get used to it very quickly. Ido not hate the new logo but about Beauty is debatable. Until now, SketchUp is still SketchUp. I wonder more what direction will go further changes.

      Hi,

I just got the "SketchUp 7 Bible" scrolled once again. At the "Move Tool" I looked more closely. I did not know that you can also use the tool to make multiple copies of objects.

      Hi Jon,

I'm not a GIS specialist. But sometimes I use Global Mapper to save a terrain in DXF. There is also a trial version that you should try.

I would like to join what was said in this thread. Without these many great plugins that work with Sketchup would be only half as good.

    • Question: Backup Files at different Folders!

      Hi,

for some time I find the backup Skb files in the Plugins folder and in my Kerkythea project folder . I do not know why. Is there a way to select a specific folder for the Skb-files? I appreciate any helpful hints.
