@ntxdave Not that I know of. But it's simple. Create or import a mesh with a high-ish polygon count. Hover over an icon in the Sculpt Tools toolbar and the name of the tool will appear by the mouse cursor. Click on "Bulge" and then click on the mesh with the left mouse button. The mesh will deform, creating a bulge. Press and hold shift and the Bulge tool turns into the "Push" tool, which will create the opposite effect of pushing into the mesh. The "Smooth" tool is useful for smoothing out the mesh, creating a uniformity in the polygons. Adjust brush radius and strength in the settings, which is the top button in the toolbar.

The plugin can be found in the window menu; it's not called found. Look for 'Sketchucation Search' in the Window menu. First post has been updated, sorry for the confusion.

I just fixed 1 and it will be in next release. 2 is harder. It uses inches because Sketchups underlying unit is inches. The SU UI has all kinds of automatic conversion of inches to whatever units are set. The SP UI doesnt have that and it would be tricky to write something that correctly handles every case. Like 1 3/4'

@cphillips said: Its possible. But each field I make script controllable it dramatically adds to the complexity of the SP3 code. And it slows the simulation. Both of these issues will be fixed in SPIV. I think the best fix going forward is to set the joint parameters in an onTick (or whatever) event. So rather than having a formula in the accel field instead in onTick (or whatever) you can do something like this: > joint.accel=righty*100.0 > joint.min=joint.min+10.0 Great that'll solve some of my problems.

BTM, Ill see if I can do it but it probably wont be in next version. Wacov, I have been thinking about doing exactly that. In the form of model level events. And I would also probably setup the objects with an add/remove event UI as well.

please cast your minds back to this: http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=a507050360e487cd6227cba038bf7c95&prevstart=0 i think this is what you are talking about, it's a bike that doesn't use any gyros or anything, but relies on an extremely low centre of gravity

@cphillips said: I just typed that off the top of my head and made a few errors. Here is a correct version: > pos=getVar("pos")+(key("up")*0.02)+(key("down")*-0.02);if(pos>1.0);pos=1.0;elsif(pos<0.0);pos=0.0;end;setVar("pos",pos);pos Thanks. that works. Ive just tried it in a servo and a motor aswell. Works on those too.

Bug #1 seems very similar to an old one in sp2; that was fixed. In this model, it is fixed if you turn off the thruster setting. I've never found #2 to be an issue.

@chris fullmer said: I just spent a few minutes looking into thi in more depth, and it's not really a useable program per se. Its a bunch of libraries to build into a program. So its not really useful for me. I have no programming abilities. Maybe Todd, Rick, TBD, or someone else wants to develop a robust cross platform free version for SU That includes animation no doubt! Chris I know it's not a program, that's why I made sure not to include the word program in the title of the thread, but it DOES come with example applications that you can run. My first Idea was to replace the model used in an example with one of my own, exported as a .wrl file, and although I did that, I couldn't find where in any of the code it specified what model to use, and there were no tutorials to show how.

@remus said: No worries Is it raw SU output? looks pretty good if it is. Yup. shadows at Dark=20, Light=85, transparency=high, and anti-aliasing turned on(for all but one image). By the way, on my mac, I have anti-aliasing, but I can't control how much it works. It's either quite blurry, or grainy. Most people say that you can change it's range in OpenGL, but I don't have any controls but On/Off (under model info> rendering).
