It would also be a pretty straightforward job just using arrays, and perhaps solid Trim.

@ntxdave I suspect you are misunderstanding gifs and their limitations. They are a snapshot of part of the screen, not the full screen. There is a file size limit for adding gifs that is quite restrictive and every pixel that moves on the screen increases the file size. So to make a usable gif we must set a Frame of a certain pixel size then work within that, and try not to move the camera too much, that can make you think you are missing something but most of the time all the relevant action is captured. The model may get cut off but generally not the cursor or relevant tools etc. We do our best to squeeze everything into the capture window. Countless times I have had to rerecord a gif because the context menu option is just off screen, and it can be a real fine line, you may have two context menu uses and one goes too high and the other too low.
If your ipad and laptop are indeed not showing the full gif that would suggest you have the screen resolution set incorrectly, but I doubt it.

I'm not near a computer so I can't check but from memory if you create scenes, hiding the parts you want, they should be able to navigate those scenes.

    • Some tips and tricks from out of the Box

I thought it might be worthwhile posting some of my short gif tutorials here.
They are all varied and random, not meant as a progression to learn by, just answers to questions and random doodles that address many different situations.
Some will be over your head and others too easy to bother with, a mixture for all to wander through. Most of them will be watermarked with my facebook page.

So a very short one to start with.

      Radial Bend and Thrupaint
This is an option for bending something while retaining a complex texture. Both of these are Fredo6 plugins available from the extension store. Both are single tools contained within a package of tools. FredoScale and FredoTools. An example of the gems hidden in Fredo's tools.

How do we get rid of pointless AI posts that are always thrown in your face as New Posts or Recent posts when you know they are irrelevant gibberish that should be deleted but they are so resource intensive that you can't even click on them to ignore them. It was 28 pages...

I'm also finding this message somewhat tempting at the same time as disturbing. Must be one drink away from something either way.

I was digging through some boxes of old stuff the other day and found quite a lot of predigital photos of some of my work from the last century.
This one in particular would have been so much simpler to design if sketchup had been available then. This was early 90s, pre computer in today's sense. From memory over 900 individual hand cut pieces of glass, each one angled by a few degrees to create a wave effect. And each had a fibre optic filament leading back in sequence to several light projectors running hand made glass colour wheels to create an undulating colour shifting northern lights effect through the glass.
The only part that was in any way computer generated was the three 20mm thick pieces of glass that made up the central viking prow. I hand drew the shape I wanted on a large piece of paper and sent it off to a company in Scotland that had a fancy new water jet that could cut glass. They scanned my drawing so the computer could cut it. I still had to hand finish them as the water jet wasn’t a clean cut.
And you tell the young people of today this and they don’t believe you.

No you aren't missing something, the toolbar won't do double wide when docked, even though the Large Toolset does. It has been a complaint for many years. And you can't put the large toolset across the top.
Far be it for us to question the design gods of the UI, they obviously know something we don't.

Thanks for your well wishes. I have spent the last couple of days battening and double tying everything down and removing anything loose from my boat and from the marina itself. All sorts of innocuous stuff becomes lethal when thrown around randomly.
Fortunately, although I live on a boat, I am far enough south that I will mostly only experience a shed load of rain and nasty gusts of wind rather than the sustained winds further north that will be destructive. It is going to be catastrophic for many that have yet to recover from the last disaster.
But you never know with wind, I may well wake up with a full sky view, I'm already prepared for most of my windows to blow out.
But I love where I live.
