I wasn't suggesting Sandbox at all. I described the process in one of your previous posts and Cotty has done described it as well. Plugins are great but you do yourself a disservice if you choose to use them instead of learning how the native tools work.
It's good you got the path direction sorted.

Very nice . Is the inside of the Church plastered/rendered?
John
Its lime plaster with a distemper finish.
It is a church but as they struggle so much for funding these days, they can becoming more community drop in / function centres, which is the reason for the glass extension and cafe area.
Going to post this question here as it on the same subject.
So 3d scanned a panel ready to unfold but currently the mesh is to complicated to unfold.
Tried terrain reshaper but it does not seem to change.
Trying to achieve a more consistent mesh which is not to time consuming to unfold.
.skp is 8mb so put a share on dropbox

Nice drawing. Wonder if turning it into SU edges is of use. How do you intend to use it? could it be better used as a texture or in post-pro? I assume you aren't going to make it 3d...

So far ThomThom's method is the only one that works, tried desperately to avoid it as I still have over 100 houses yet to drape!!
Can you not do them en masse?
Hi All
Thanks for the suggestions, it was a rush job so in the end just deleted all materials then re input the glass. I will have a play with TIG's suggestion as this will not be the last time.
Thanks All
Matthew

There is a topic about Arroway textures here:
http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=25434
They are extremely nice textures - true however that this free set is not very high resolution - but at least they cover a substantial area and do not tile that much.

You welcome Luca.
It could also be wrapped instead of projected but I guess the shape is not that regular for it.
SketchUp's texturing tools are kind of limited but what you can use, can be quite powerful in certain situations.
thanks, my pleasure to be here.
actually I'm using SU for a long time but until now I never needed to work with textures.
see you
