Another thing to consider is that some plugin authors are going to add new features for SU 2016 and forward. This has to do with the change in security.

Some unscrupulous individuals have been opening RBS files and taking code that doesn't belong to them. Trimble added a new encryption strategy to protect plugin authors IP. I'm pretty sure they realized their own sales potential over this.

At least old versions of SU will still work with old versions of the plugins (minus enhancements and bug fixes).

Dave: You can just see a strong arris on all edges in the model. In the real world I will hand-plane these, no sanding, I love the look of timber straight from the blade.
I see what you mean about the single board on top and two below, will have to think about that.

Hi Sonder, all measurements in Su were entered via the VCB, the drawings are 2d in plan view, so no "~"s in SU.
However just tried to reproduce this in a new drawing but all fine. But have discovered I need to have 'Autoscale' on in LO and everthing comes right. I've no idea why, I've checked the help files on this, but it's all beyond my poor brain.
But problem solved I guess, thanks for your help.

Hi RTD, I don't think a 'smoother' mouse is going to help, it seems the zoom thing is what it is. I will often copy components off a ways to work on them, then hide them, which causes the zoom prob. From now on, I will separate the model into different files and bring them together at the end.

As for 'lost in space', I use the 'Previous' function (just below 'Zoom extents'), which will step you back five views. I use it so often I have a shortcut for it.
