I did not mean to say that there. I'll revisit and see if there is anything to misunderstand, thanks.

Yes - it is in the latest version of IRender nXt. We are still waiting for some client feedback - e.g. what additional lights or mirrors they would like. The trees are useful even without IRender nXt, since they make 2D trees with shadows in SketchUp, You can try the trees here: IRender Ready Trees [image: download?mid=9f5aa31dc3ee00ef6c134b68c36309b4&rtyp=st&ctyp=other&ts=1348625380000] Also, Rich has added the .exe to convert the 3D warehouse models to SU 6 or SU7 (as needed). (I see in another thread that some people are converting to SU 8 just so they can still use many SU8 only 3D Warehouse models) Also, we are adding the same 3D Warehouse browsing feature to SpaceDesign, for use by people who want to make it easy for people to download other collections into SketchUp.

Here is the code which makes this work. If points to the center of the first item in the selection set, then uses SketchUp zoom to selection to do the zoom. It zooms to the third, desired, image in the post previous to this one. def zoom_selection # zoom to selection by rotating camera first model = Sketchup.active_model entity = model.selection[0] if (!entity) do_error("Nothing selected") return end#if view = model.active_view camera = view.camera eye = camera.eye target = camera.target up = camera.up target = entity.bounds.center camera.set(eye, target, up) # point to selection view.zoom(model.selection) # then zoom end#def

@unknownuser said: Al, Curious what error message you get when trying to save an image. (is it something like "fails to recognise the drive") I ask because I have a 1tb Seagate Goflex ext. drive I purchased of October 2011 to which I have no problem with saving a Win7 drive image. Charlie The error is something like "I/O error while writing to drive" You can see if the drive i unsupportable by typing in: Fsutil fsinfo ntfsinfo F: (replacing F: with the drive letter) It is the Bytes per Physical in bold below which is the problem. "Not Supported" means that the drive does not report the number of bytes to Windows, so Windows does not know that it is not a 512 byte drive. Illustration/Artist -- I use it to generate 1, 2 and 3 point perspective reference imagery (for drawings and paintings)... often in conjunction with Maxwell (for photographic-type lighting reference). Best, Jason.

As a set designer I'd say that having a option of "set, prop and vehicle design" are all very different things and I for one have never designed a car! Great to see so many different disciplines being catered for by one great bit of software. Please Trimble be kind and not forget about the non-architectural user base. C

I have used it to create animations and simulations of engineering projects built by others in my department [flash=600,410:1m4yup38]http://www.youtube.com/v/ZUL6S5JMxls[/flash:1m4yup38] The videos are produced as part of progress reports to partners and clients, and the models and animations help to illustrate functions that are difficult to see in real life, or which may be dangerous to film on-site.
