Since all Google Earth Terrain groups have the same name they can be found and deleted rather easily using this "one liner" that can be copied and executed in the Ruby Console.

it seem Google Maps changed something and you need to enter decimal values now...

OK, found the problem; apparently the create material dialog was coming up way off screen. Still calling it a bug, since the trays migrate back to the main screen any time I turn my second monitor off, so why wouldn't a dialog do the same?

I question if the SSD will do as much as you want. I use one in may machine and of course opening, saving should be quicker but normally the drive should not see a lots of use unless the model load is so large the paging file needs to be used , but it looks like you have more than enough memory. My working memory sets and private bites usually in low to mid MB range and CPU usage and memory in the 25% range. I do not render however.

I often need alternate styles while working. I have scenes set up that change the style (and nothing else) so I can look at the presentation of export style, then switch to a style that is easier for working.

there's also a Align&Distribute plugin which will help you do this (get even spacing in between objects) if different size components are being used.. it's probably a bit overboard for your current scenario as i understand it.

Should be aproximately a 50% time saver. 😄

More than 50% for now, since I rearranged my toolbars with the 2014 update, so all the less-used functions (less used than the pencil and eraser, at least) now have a built in "oops, it's over there now" delay.

Thanks! I figured it was just something I was overlooking. Been doing similar interactions on a couple of models lately, and had that working on one set of doors but not the other. When I got the bad behavior to happen in a model of just a set of doors done from scratch, it really had me scratching my head.
