Yes, it's only half modelled based off a cartoon image on 123rf.com.
spotted a video online a few weeks back that showed someone modeling this at high speed and thought I'd give it a go with Vertex Tools. Did a blender version too in a lot faster time.

Very cool.

sorry, cotty asked me to place the model here as it's Artisan related.
I'm not trying to wee on your bonfire by any means!
-
i have no idea of what "wee on your bonfire" means (i'm not so good at english and this appear to be "slang") anyway it doesn't matter.. no problem at all..
-
I said 'wee' to refrain from using an expletive....but here you go, definition from urban dictionary!

Yes, my fault. Sorry for that. I should have remebered that post because I answered there too
@Marcello: You can edit your post and add an image, so we have the important information here to find it faster next time

I always get stuck modeling tufted furniture. Here is one example of the workflow with artisan
-
-
Always a pleasure to see you have fun with this!
Now you may want to explain how you (beautifully) textured this!
Is it a spherical mapping with SketchUV? -
-
Very nice Rich What's the workflow...does it rely a lot on vertex tools?
-
Very nice indeed! Very elegant and masterfully modelled. Do you plan on redering this? It's a ceiling light?

Actually TIG's EebyV and the native scale mostly.
Thomthom's AutoSmooth has meant I'm using vertex tools less and less.

Thanks Rich
