Ok. I'm now getting around to configuring the LO2016 like my LO2015 as in the image in my OP. So I accept that I have to rebuild my toolbars. At least I have the image of the tools to follow. However, I can't find where to add the icons that I made. Options to edit icons are grayed out on commands that don't already have a button. If I recall, in 2015 there was an option to assign icons. Where is it?

Remember too James, that scrapbook is brilliant for this stuff! Just drag your object from the scrapbook and then sample it and note away, all will be same.

Hi Guys, I have come across this as well and my thoughts are that the dimension is not snapping to the appropriate end point because the point is masked by other geometry. For instance, with a section cut you may want to dimension a feature that is further back in your model than another object that appears in front of it. Although the dimension end point looks to be anchored to the correct spot it is not. Sometimes I have found the only way round this is to go into the model and draw a temporary line to anchor the dimension correctly and erase this afterwards. I often draw kitchen worktops with curved front edges and in rooms where the worktop butts up to a wall this problem occurs when the room is sectioned and the worktop needs a height dimension. Hope this makes sense! Regards Brian

You should be able to contact them through SketchUp.com One guy I know had this problem on his Mac and like you, found that turning off Hardware Acceleration helped in some cases. He wound up taking his computer into a place that specializes in Macs. They discovered that his graphics card had some problems. After replacing it, the issues were entirely cleared up. I'm not saying that is the problem in your case but it was the fix for him.

@pipingguy said: THANK YOU!! I knew I wasn't going crazy! BTW Dave is in fact correct, WORD does this same functionality. Adobe Indesign however does this how one would hope and rather intuitively. "Only" the text is selected when double clicking to select a word or triple clicking for a paragraph - ie: Not collecting an additional space at the end and pasting it too! What Indesign does here is add a space "if" pasting into other text (as you would hope), but if it is pasted at the end or as replacement text, then no space is added to the end.

UPDATE: Hey Dave R, let me know what you think about this: I think I have solved this problem since the problem still persists since I read this thread about this topic. I have the same problem as the user who posted the problem on this thread and what I've done is downloaded a previous graphics card update and the problem seems to have disappeared. Here's the important part. If you do not section off using a section cut to get rid of geometry behind your sketchup scene camera view the geometry behind that same camera view in sketchup scene will still show up as a wireframe geometry and all geometry in front of your camera will still show up as normal. So in order to get rid of the wireframe geometry behind the camera in your sketchup scene, you need to download and install an older version of a graphics card update that works for you previously then when you switch into hybrid mode in a layout viewport of that sketchup scene you will not see the wireframe geometry showing up behind the camera in your sketchup scene anymore, however this is only provided that you have sectioned off the geometry behind your camera view using a sketchup section in place where you want to view your sketchup model. Just simply setting the "Position Camera" alone without a section does not work and in hybrid mode in layout you will still get unexpected geometry that is behind your camera view in sketchup showing in layout as wireframe lines in your viewport scene. I have provided some attached files for everyone to see what I'm talking about and attached photos of what I see on my screen inside of layout incase you see something different on your end. Please note that currently the update you are reading here with attached files is me telling what the problem was and now the minor problem which currently still is. Before in hybrid mode with a newer graphics update installed on my computer even with a section in place I would still see all geometry showing up behind camera view, now since I've downgraded my graphics driver update and once I section off geometry behind, I do not see the issue anymore in hybrid mode inside layout viewport, however I show in the files attached that if I simply set camera angle and do not section off geometry behind in sketchup scene I will still see hidden geometry showing up as wire frame so again the solution with an older graphics card update installed is to just section off geometry behind so that hybrid in layout works and shows you only what you want to see as you've set in your sketchup scene. I would like to say that this problem has been solved now however I will update everyone once the SketchUp team member who is currently investigating this gets back to me with clarifying information or new updates on the problem. I'd be very curious to see a copy of the file that's giving you trouble, if it's something you can share. My direct address is marc at sketchup.com. Thanks, Marc

Oh! I forgot. You need to stand on one foot with your other foot behind your head and your tongue touching your nose.

Now there's a glimmer of understanding. Yes, try typing in the font size.

I don't think I've heard anything about this yet - how did you report the issue? If it's on forums.sketchup.com, can you share a link and I'll take a look. Forgive me if I've already talked to you on another forum about this, it's been a busy month! Thanks, Marc

...great! simply using the whole already done work of Project1 again for Project2 by relinking. This LO thing seems to function similar to Adobe InDesign. Tank you for first aid today!

It video demonstrate that endline can be different in same dimension. @richard said: to adjust arrow size as you are trying, select the horizontal line! I dont want change arrow size. I was demonstrate to other how to reduce size of endline. In my project i use predrfined dimension style. And copy it from scrapbooks window [image: h_1448934277_5087367_fffcaefa62.jpeg]

Layout needs to speed up! It is so laggy and sluggish (Core I7 3.5ghz/GTX 1080).

@nujak said: Thank you Dave for the quick response. I figured out the problem. It turns out the linetype scale ( @2X) was too small to see on the pdf unless zoomed in really far---despite it looking correct in Layout. I had to crank it up to 10X to get to read ok in the PDF. The really issue seems to be that the linetype scale changes as you zoom in and out in Layout. That's a real bummer. It makes it difficult to work with linetypes in Layout. Difficult to get a sense of the graphic representation of a page without a lot of trial and error. I guess I should post more. I've been watching SketchUcation for many years. Thanks again! I have the same issue. Wonder if it is related to units. I'm in metric. What I do is that I have a bunch of linetypes already tested for the effect I want and I copy their properties around.
