Can you share the .skp file? It's hard to tell exactly what you've got from your screen shot but most likely it is a situation where the edges of the two faces are very close together but not coincident.

@Maria When you download an extension from the PluginStore, using your browser, there are several possible outcomes, depending on how you have configured your browser's options... The RBZ file that is downloaded when you click the button can be handled by the browser in several ways. For example if RBZ files are incorrectly set up to open with SketchUp, or any other app - like a decompression software, the the download will fail. Of if the browser is correctly set up to save the RBZ file onto your computer, then there are two possible alternatives. It might auto-save it to your Downloads folder, or it might prompt you in a dialog to choose a folder in which to save it... In both of these cases you should now have an RBZ archive on your computer. You now need to install it into SketchUp. In SketchUp use the menu item to open the built-in Extension Manager dialog, then use the [red] button to Install... Find the RBZ file and SketchUp should now install it for you automatically - extracting the files from the archive and copying them into the correct location[s] in your Plugins folder... If you have problems like this, it can be down to incorrect permissions, and these usually result from SketchUp being incorrectly installed... It's possible to Repair the installation [without first uninstalling and starting again]... To do this - login to Windows as your normal user-account. Ensure SketchUp is not running. Find the SketchUp installer's exe file - usually in your Downloads folder. Select this exe file's icon, right-click > context-menu > "Run as administrator" When prompted choose "Repair". When it completes restart SketchUp. This operation should reset SketchUp and your user-account to have the correct permissions. Installing any complex app in any other way will lead to weird and unpredictable problems. So never double-click on an installer's exe file to 'Run' it - even if your user-account has admin powers it is not the same as using 'Run as administrator' as exampled above...

As you use Transmutr, you can export then directly as V-Ray proxies: https://help.transmutr.com/manual/geometry-tab/proxies I don't think it's a problem with transmurt.... the proxy are working but I cannot load more than 2 on a sketchup file after when I drag them from the library to the file nothing is happening GD3Design is not a rendering problem I just cannot load the geometry on the file

You'd probably get a better response by posting within that tool's thread... However, here's my thoughts... An OBJ contains the imported geometry definitions. Often the OBJ file has an associated MTL file [its path/name are set up in OBJ header], this file contains the definitions for the materials that the geometry in the OBJ file will use. Usually the MTL file has the same name as the OBJ file and is kept with it... Also the associated MTL file can contain references to image-files which are to be used in some of its materials as textures [the simplest material-type is just a 'color'], these image-files [JPG, PNG etc] are usually included with the MTL in a subfolder named something like 'Images' - the actual path/name to these images is also included in the MTL file... The OBJ and MTL files are written in plain-text, so you can open them with a text-editor like Notepad++ and read what is being set up...

Hi pcmoor, Thanks so much - you lifesaver! I'm new to the OnClick function as well as the Animator extension, but I've had a look at these files you kindly put together & it all makes sense I think - I can unpack this & apply it as I need to. Thanks a lot! Sorry to be a pain, but do you know if a similar function can be applied using the Animator extension from Fredo6? I've been tasked with two things essentially, and you've pretty much solved the second one, and with any luck you can help with the first as well? Firstly to create a more detailed animation of how a generic example of the system would work, ideally with camera sweeps & parts moving of their own accord rather than being clicked, to form an example video of how the system works Secondly to mirror the other dynamic components that I've put together to automatically create the other products in our range (for which this OnClick solution is perfect!) Thanks a lot for your help - it's really appreciated!

L i am, thank you for the suggestions and help. However, I figured out my problem. Or should I say remembered. It's been so long since I last used Raylectron that I forgot something important about lighting... ...emitters cannot be grouped with anything. Yep, that's all it was. I am somewhat embarrassed. Thanks again for responding and your help. I will be posting the updated renders of the living room and bedroom in the Gallery.

Great suggestion to make it progressively appear. There are a few other complicated ways to simulate this, but thank you for confirming it's not a feature I wasn't seeing! Cheers!

All SU major point releases (ie. SU2016 / SU2017 / SU2018 / SU2019 / SU2020) run independent from each other and can be installed on the same machine without the one influencing the other. I doubt that any versions of SU, apart from the current release, is available for purchase. You could communicate with SU though, but the cost won't be less than the current version if they were to meet you halfway. Don't go subscription, perpetual licence only - IMHO anyway.
