@andrews said: @ben ritter said: Wow, this is my first time on the new 3d Warehouse site and is it ever slooooow to browse, compared to the previous one. Not to mention, I haven't been able to download anything. It times out and says "An error occurred when connecting to the 3D Warehouse. The operation timed out". Ben, We're not seeing the slowdown on our end, nor the problems downloading files. We'd like to try to diagnose/fix this, but we need a lot more information to try to reproduce the issue first. How are you accessing the 3DWH? Are you using your web browser or the component browser inside of SketchUp? If you're in the browser, exactly what version? If you're accessing it through SketchUp, exactly what version are you using? What operating system are you running? SketchUp uses Internet Explorer behind the scenes, so what version of IE are you running? Where in the world are you accessing the site from? Do you know if you're going through a VPN or proxy? Does the problem happen all the time, or just at certain times of the day? Thanks, Andrew Andrew, thanks. It seems to be running fine since last week when others posted similar problems. I appreciate your response.

How about doing what I did and make a keyboard shortcut. I thought that only deleted guides... I didn't know construction points were "guides", thought that was for construction guide lines only. Nice to know.

Thanks Daniel, but no... I have the old software and all the textures from it converted. I was just hoping for upgraded stuff and more interested in any models they were providing. The jpgs are pretty easy to convert with the material importer.

This scene is so simple, yet amazingly realistic!! I'm searching for programs, processes, and procedures to turn my poopy renders into something that looks more like your results. I probably shouldn't be posting this here, but if it makes more sense, I'll repost in a relevant forum and reference this thread, if you don't mind. I've included my best attempts, and what I feel is lacking in each they were done with twilight, vray and shaderlight, in that order [image: k3Mf_slantroof.jpg] [image: MGub_PoolSemifinalsmall.jpg] [image: S3uS_interiorrender01.jpg]

@jmrome said: It's working now!!! I uninstalled sketchup 2013 and deleted also aal the preferences, now I have sketchup 2008 and that works perfectly since you've deleted the .plists (which is required for a true uninstall) you'll be able to update to any version of sketchup now you shouldn't see this problem again.

I don't know what you wish to use them for, nor the exact method of modeling used by Form Fonts, but you could try using the Artisan plugin to sculpt some low rez models for Sketch Up, or if you need really good quality posable models you could use Poser or DAZ3D... DAZ's models are fairly affordable and DAZ Studio 4.6 is still free, so if you don't want to spend a lot on the program its not bad. You can export the models you make in SketchUp into OBJ format using Pros native OBJ export or TIG's Free Object Exporter... once in OBJ format you can import them to Poser or DAZ studio. One thing to note, DAZ base figures are nude, so you need to buy clothes for them (or not)... which is basically how they make up the cost of the free program... Poser on the other hand does come with a whole lot of free content as well as several clothed figures. If you go for Poser, try finding an older version like Poser 8 or 9 on Amazon, you will save a lot. Edited to add... sorry I just notice you said "for SU"... Well, Poser models are pretty detailed and make huge SU files in general... I sometimes pose and export DAZ people into SU using an older version of DAZ which had a Level Of Detail option for certain figures... I drop the LOD pretty low, since I need the figure only for scale reference... I don't know if LOD export is possible in Poser, or how it now works in DAZ Studio (I think you now need a $$ plugin called "Decimator"). I hope this was of some use.

The scanned image isn't the same size as the originally exported template image. Resize it so it is and it'll work fine.
