Merci, Didier. However, please try these files (change the .lmi.txt extension to .lmi). Layers 0, Blue, and Green have been setup via SU's Layer dialog. The Blue and Green geometry were moved to their respective SU layers; all others objects are assigned to Layer 0. Blue and Green configs were then defined via your Layer Manager Script. The Blue config only displays layer Blue. The Green config only displays layer Green. Issue A. See what happens when you apply green or blue configs when all layers are visible, then alternate between the existing configs. Restore a config ONCE and it will APPEND that restoration to the existing display. Next Restore the SAME config AGAIN and it will display the restoration correctly. I believe the samething happens when following the same routine using Restore-Show-Only. ====== Issue B. Now, via the SU's Layers Dialog add a new layer called Gold, select the gold geometry and move it to layer Gold. Make layer Gold the active layer and make all other layers invisible. Create a new config with the Layer Manager script called Gold. Repeat he routines mentioned in "Issue A" and also include Restoring Gold and Restore-Show-Only Gold. ======= Issue C. It is possible to display a blank line in the dialogs (such as the Delete or Restore dialogs). Regards, John TEST1.lmi.txt TEST1.skp

The new update is now under this topic. I am moving this longer, "discussion-like" thread "back" to the Ruby Forum - leaving only Didier's "final" post in the Ruby Depot to avoid misunderstanding (I myself was confused first when I couldn't find it agai...).

It makes a lattice from a group that's a single plane - faces and edges. The frames can have open or paned centres. All lattice frames are the same width. If you want an exact size make the offset around half of the intended frame width and it'll then expand at its edges to suit. If you want a bigger frame offset than that, then offset it (but less the 1/2 frame) and then group only the inner part. Then lattice-ize, explode the group and it'll merge with the outer frame, pushpull the outer bit to suit erasing coplanar edges etc...

It was a quick reaction without thinking about. You can do what you want...I'm not a coder, just hacking. It is the only way I know to make a toolbar. Apologize my unwise If there are some problems more, feel free to contact me via pm or mail ( you got my mail time ago) It is easier for me to communicate and clarify an issue. cu Burkhard

I used to work in a millwork plant... we had several programs that cost 10k that did that sort of thing... I would like material lists for my houses, and cost break downs... in SU... but remember you can always make "pages" in SU and then batch export dxf's for your "cutsheets"

Not me - the "community" (although I give a damn... ) No, seriously I can use the old version with v5 - it's just some people don't have that.

Hi Rick Once again with more clarity I hope. Here is the deal that seems to work for other graphic data. You buy so many credits at a set price for each (say $2 per credit)your option for how many. Just like script at the Church Bingo Fest. A set number of credits are required for each graphic downloaded and charged against your account.(credit card) So that you do not get logged down with 1sies 2sies perhaps you could set a min purchase credit of say $10-$20.(or min number of conversions) A BIG package deal at a discount is always a good pump primer. Like many other downloads a time limit for downloading would be part of the deal. Just some ideas that I hope will help get you off and going ASAP. Whatever you decide will be OK here. Dave

OK, I've posted the new version of cloud.rb at the depository: http://www.sketchucation.com/forums/scf/viewtopic.php?f=153&t=1533 -better dialog box (more user-friendly). -better layer support -more delimiters, sample of file line provided in dialog box -invalid file detection, more than 3 data per line detection, -select your X Y Z coords columns when more than 3 data per line in the input file -option to "flatten" the data (Z=0) Tested with V5 and V6. works like a charm Gaieus, when you say "it does nothing", maybe it does build the cloud anyhow: did you do a "zoom extents" after the command has ended, or did you look at the status bar to see the message when it imports the points ? If it fails, please send me the input file. Cheers,
