Believe it or not I use Windows media player Why - firstly because I love the visual Bars and Waves - Ocean mist, because it's one of the most accurate real time analysers around. ( I realise it wouldn't mean anything to anyone else) Also because I have all my libraries direct at hand, no need to load play lists. The only codec it won't play is realplayer .ram and apple .mov files. I have Realplayer Alternative installed and I try to avoid .mov files. What really annoys me is Quicktime - whenever I hit a page with quicktime it rewrites all my file preferences without my permission making it the no 1 player!! - it also pops up regularly asking me if I want to download I-Tunes. It's a pain in the A!! cheers john

My muse is my audience. I have so many ideas in my head that I need to express, and the best reward of that is to see and hear people react to the things I do. It's not praise I look for, but the notion that something might spark or open up in the audience's mind. This is fuel for my fire. Generally what I have shown on this forum and my blog is going towards a comic book. I assume most people on this forum do not read comics, but that doesn't matter to me - I like to see how ideas are viewed. Hopefully, each one of the WIP shows something towards the themes the finished work will express. For now they appear as a jumble of incomplete and incongruous models. But they will interact and it does mean something, honest. (it's not just vanity)

the foundation piling inspired me to connect it to shipping containers... mmmm you could put them anywhere and then move them. Hey--- what a nice thought- thanks guys!! I didn't get a cake this time- my sweetie got me an F-150 super cab with small V-8. Not new, but low miles. We LOVE it!! (Except for the part where we have to pay for it) Ross- Great Song- I like upbeat songs to listen to. When I play my guitar, I play sad songs. Crazy, huh? I almost didn't check the forum- been a long day. I go to bed now with smile on barley-pop face

Oh sorry, missed that. I am a member. I have yet to go to a convention though. It is always within days of the ASLA convention and I am going to that one. Can't do both. One of these days. I did take a 3 day watercolor workshop with Frank Costantino, one of the founding fathers, in Kasas City at the Mike Lin studios. That was great.

Beijing is planning a complete revamp. Albert Speer III is using the basic North South axis and gridiron that already exists, especially around the Forbidden City...and goes back to the 1600s...to sweep away much of the low rise clutter and come up with a capital city downtown area suitable for the kind of nation the Chinese anticipate they will become in the 21st century. http://www.uscpfa-mn.org/USCPFA_photofiles/update8.05/Exhibition%20Hall%20for%20Beijing%20Institute_full.JPG The use of the term "axis" is not clear at all in the article. At times it does seem to be referring to the actual orientation of the Berlin city plan.

@unknownuser said: Politics...religion!! I feel that they should be completely shut out of here...I have rarely seen those threads go anywhere but finnally into the toilet. I deleted a thread once. ( I could get rid of it cause I was a moderator at the time) Of course there was a great cry about it and I expected that, but like you I thought the thread had turned to poisen and it needed to be killed and removed so that all wouldn't stumble into the sh*t. that is purely your opinion. I have a different opinion which I am entitled to. I resent you trying to force your opinion onto me by deleting threads, thank you very much. I might add you don't even have the courtesy to indicate where you come from in your profile.

Come on now Susan. The Beverly Hillbillies was a funny show. If that fishie didn't like to laugh it's certainly is not your fault! Having to be on top of the TV through Gilligan's Island, I Dream of Jeanie and Green Acres may not be everyone's cup of tea but it shouldn't be considered suffering. Stop feeling guilty. It's not your fault the fish hated TV. It's a well-known fact that many fish lack a sense of humour. Be free!
