I'm not a professional woodworker myself but I can see some differences between an Altendorf F45 and a Sawstop. 1 size 2 weight 3 price but 4 the sawstop is much safer. For the little woodwork that I do my DIY saw mounted under a DIY table is more than enough. And I can tell you, every time I turn it on, it scares me. I keep my distance from the blade!

Nice work. Very nice. I like all of the results shown at the SketchCrawl forum too. I really wish I could draw like that. It's been so long. Hacking off your arm may give you that tortured artist angle. Before you feed it to the werewolves, sketch it. Heck . . . look what it did for Van Gogh!

Shaun, that's a Yellowfin Tuna. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yellowfin_tuna I just looked online and found a current world record of 311 pounds. Wow. That was caught with a spear gun. Now that's a manly way to catch a fish.

You're all welcome to quote those lyrics, but for all honesty and for the youngsters in this forum I have to thank Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel for laying the foundations. poster-Maggy

I have no idea how it works, Ross. I assume it record the raw number of returns on a given search. You can search for "night" and "day" and get a response. It's not scientific by any means.

I use the H.264 codec almost exclusively. Excellent quality with decent file sizes, though a highly textured 364 acre development, 1024 x 768, 8 minutes long is 2.4 Gigs. And that is with 2D trees (2000 of them)

Yes, Coen, I figured that out, thanks. It's just about my home town in my user account anyway (the flash part can handle other characters).

I was worried: "Weapons of Immense Potency" "Wampas of Incalculable Pustulence" (that's a Star Wars reference) "Wonky Infantile Politics" "Wimpy Insecurity Plug" "Wonderful Institution Pulverized" "Wombats Insufferably Proliferating" "Wildly Intersecting Proclivities" "Wearisome Indigestible Protazoans" I was really hoping it wasn't "Worrisome Insect Proboscis" because that would imply that I had absolutely no grip on what this or any other SketchUp forum was about. --Lewis poster-Lewis Wadsworth

And it also warns you (even if you don't visit that particular website from where it is originally) that there are unread news (I think with a small, yellor star).

well, to me... seeing that I am one... I aspire to be professional in a lot of ways... but aboveall... no pun intended, originality and giving credit to others work, not taking it for your own, contributing new knowledge to the industry... so many 3D artists in the gaming world and rendering world use other peoples models, and then take credit for it... normally from one program to another... if you frequented 3DMax forums you could use their models, convert them, paint them, and so on... and then take credit for it, and the chances of anyone knowing are slim... this happened to me while building a racing simulator... I Can't say who I worked for, I had to sign NDA's but EA's SIM Racing and rFactor we're involved... and there were lawsuits flying... all over who's model was whose... and how they went about proving it was interesting... anyway I digress... I think a Pro is someone who brings something to the table...

@gaieus said: This guy is awsome! He decided to reconstruct the city centre of the ancient Rome. Have a look at this thread here from the "Old Forums"! Pretty darn nice work. I wonder how long it took him to build it. That was a joke.
