There is a saying "be the change you want to see". If we all took the approach of not working for corporations with which we have moral issue, and the greater community took this same attitude toward patronage - we would see change overnight!

Thank you Richard, another great idea to put in the toolbox, and you've invented the flatpack model too! I'm starting to travel my ideas around and this should be useful

WhAts even more interesting is that the use of the coin as a spy tool is based off fact and that there are still coins in circulation today that spies lost.

Some standard options in native SketchUp: moving an edge (p) along its own direction over a certain inputted distance or by grabbing any of its point, even one of its endpoints or midpoint ....towards its intersection with the plane of a face (F) (grabbed point will then be in plane of (F)). moving an edge along any (s) edge's direction over a certain inputted distance or towards the chosen plane perpendicular to (s). The plane is perpendicular to (s) and uses any inference point to determine this plane. extending an edge along its own direction (by grabbing an one of its endpoints) over a certain inputted distance or towards (p)'s intersection with the plane of any face or. (grabbed endpoint will then be in plane of (F))

Yes, I used to draw those for tank and pipe inspection. SketchUp can help you... Only problem I see is that you'll probably want to be drawing in scale from the start and sketchup draws in a real sized universe. So you'll have to scale yourself or use your edraw software to scale it.

Bass Pro paid $1 pbf for the reclaimed we used on some of their stores. They sent people around the country looking for old barns and would then tear them down and send the wood to a local cabinet shop for reworking. This was in 2004. I might add that it's dangerous stuff to work with. planing it, and cutting it you would hit nails, screws, buckshot and bullets.

Weirdly, when I stayed in rural France a good few years back Cannabis plants were widespread in the hedgerows. It seems the local hippy commune had spent some weeks driving around throwing paper bags of soil and seeds into the roadside areas In order to give them an untraceable supply Not that I would of course condone any such criminal behavior

Like it! The dark page buttons and red on blue buttons are the only thing I find not great.

Alan has a great point about DMCA requests.... They might not always work or they maky take some time but it just might do the trick. https://support.google.com/legal/troubleshooter/1114905?hl=en

I posted about this before. I'm hoping the first production run is this Spring and that it works as advertised. Much as I still depend on the 'old tape measure' and digital tape measures and such, getting the basic data of a whole room(s) with a scan would be an immense time saver for me. http://structure.io/

Keeping an eye on Green Vehicles, I have just watched the launch of the new Tesla Model X and was extremely impressed with what Tesla are going to produce. The Model X is a very capable SUV (Dual Motor All-Wheel Drive), People Carrier (7 Adults and good luggage space), Sports Car (quicker that a Carrera!) and a decent effort at a being a Van when required! [image: iHRq_TeslaModelX.jpg] For me the best part of this is that these cars are being designed and built in CA, USA. Its about time that USA got serious about car design and manufacturing and Tesla is definitely leading the way. I'd imagine many Americans that currently drive BMWs will be seriously looking at the Tesla Model X now! The launch presentation video is here, http://youtu.be/mURbzh9t0_0 and it worth watching how the rear 'Falcon Wing' doors operate.
