thanks massimo. it was the request of the architect to do the hedges in this way. I just used a polyline from cad, other more detailed vegetation didnt work well. It was to get the point across that there is a dense buffer zone between street and houses.

Hi Alex - really useful info - thankyou. The 'muddiness' is something I am conscious of. I'll bite the bullet and try your approach on my next piece. Guess this approach really forces you to think about your colour choices too... Once again, thanks for taking the time A.

Edson Great looking project and renders. I particularly like "13_ConjuntoCima.jpg" It's one of those images that captures the magnitude of the space that photographs alone can not portray. It's humbling when you are in the presence of majestic spaces like this and you realize that we are but a tiny part of this universe, yet we have the power to do so much harm to it. It's always a pleasure to see your work. Regards Phil

Ey, ey, eyyyy! What happens here! Wait a minute, please! @olishea said: are you putting together a big scene? No. I dont think so... They are very low detailed... @macker said: Also, do you have a job, or do you spend all day at home just doing sketchup?! I have a job. I have an informatic academy I dont spend all day just doing sketchup I paint, draw and make some illustrator pics. I am only a teacher that enjoyd creating things with sketchup. I do not sell my pictures or designs, or anything like that... [image: 3862754686_d7ee5271e0_o.jpg]

I still prefer your version, its truer to the painting and tells the same story

Thanks gaieus. Its an old post anyway, I know the problem too, so no problem. BTW a very clean 3ds model from blender, SU, even podium loves it. I have a feeling, that SU can handle almost huge amount of models like this. I was trying to crash it and nothing bad happened.

'Clay' renders. Well, sorta. Going for a more realistic look than usually. [image: Dbqf_claysetupfinnished6.png] [image: z7Pg_claysetupfinnished5.png]
