Well, Chris: It was an interesting approach to the project. No reason why this technique could not be used in a presentation in the right circumstances, with a few more frames dedicated to flesh out the ideas. Very creative. I took a Landscape course one time that dealt with methods of presentation, which was more geared toward advertising art, since we were required among other things, to promote common products, such as steak sauce, beer, and so forth. We took these concepts forward with several small landscape sketch projects. Very enjoyable course.

A new project. It's a cave-in-a-cliff. I made the cave by making a floor plane (With grid) and smooving a pit in it. Then rotated the whole mesh 90 degrees along green. And then I added the ground. Made it the same way, of course, minus the rotating. Now for some screenshots. Yeah I had lots of lego as a kid still a huge crate of it in the loft. It as hard work to put it together but I thought the end result (the exploded view) was fantastic! It came out much better than I had pictured in my head. This small go kart project was only a prelude to the larger one I am currently attempting. Sort of a trial run to see how it could be achieved. The presentation style was the trick I use for illustrating my SU models, http://liam887.wordpress.com/tutorials/ however there is also a podium render blended it to give the reflections of the pieces on the semi reflective surface.

great job, jo-ke, perhaps an emitting plane outside the skylight to boost the lighting there, or just increasing brightness of the sky would have worked. putting a render next to a real photo is always risky... but it's a great way to learn/hone your skills.

@kev_n said: and ....WOW.... 1 of 10000 passes for ray tracing lol.... may have to leave that going all night. Usually 80-160 passes is enough. Stop when it's reasonable clear. 10000 passes is a arbitrary number, so that render will stop (someday).

Thanks Gaieus and David for presents! @srx said: Are you sure you used SU for plans? We have used SU only for Master-plan (urban-design) and elevations. Plans haven't been created in SU. They are far too complex. @srx said: Now go back to the SU2Thea plugin! @allen weitzman said: in my humble opinion, your design is superior to the winning design Our idea was to create something that has very close in relation to the structure of the camp. The schematic on the sixth board shows it. We wouldn't propose such a layout somewhere else. The jury has written that the courtyards we have created might be, in their opinion, too small for the volume of people visiting the museum. In our opinion it was necessary to keep the spirit of the place and proper relationship to the height of the surrounding buildings.

hey thanks all to the feedback, and sure the depth and focus can be changed from the depth map i used , and agreed on the outer ring, i hadnt noticed that, must be from looking at it for so long. The wire is all piped using pipe along path , i had used a thicker pipe but seemed to give an unrealistic result, but shall work on another image, i enjoy this sort of stuff. The textures had all been created in PS and based from eye watching the darts on the tv. thanks for the feedback once more, shall update when the next images are ready kev

@richard said: (...) are you not quite there yet! Wish I were, but I'm not. Things are moving much slower than I'd like, but that's just the way it is. @dale said: However I sense that your intention is not to take away the identifiable. Correct. @roger said: Right now it looks like a hommage to DeWalt power tools.

@jo-ke said: This looks indeed very professional! I like the design a lot! Thanks mate! The client had one simple change just to zoom in on one of the photos and awaiting delievry of the air photo then off to print 2000 copies at about an eight week turn around! So a while to see in print!
