well I have been working on the door for 3 days ( I know how that silly that may sounds) on the door model I thought it would not be an easy model to do but i have considered putting an end to it on a number of occasions. Now through me own fault I have mixed up my models accidently so the windows now are the wrong size. Thank god for intersect pages [image: 1739336763284-iface.png]

Sorry dale for this, these news are great though. Its this about promoting SDS2 complain that made me upset. I don't promote anything. I just like to share what seems interesting to me.

Thank you all, It's a please to model the old buildings, apart from having to count bricks from a picture! @ TIG, Hartlepool has certainly changed over the years (not always for the better). Sometimes I dispair at some of our Councils decisions. Regards John

@unknownuser said: Guzman That's very cool ... Do you have any suggestions or tips for teaching kids in Sketchup? Thank you! Well, kids love sketchup, so normally it's easy to engage them. My main advice is to guide them with worksheets so that they have a precise aim in each lesson. Put great care in giving them clear and easy to read worksheets. Introduce sketchup commands very gradually in each worksheet. I normally follow a path that goes from simple polyhedrons (cubes ....) to everyday objects (tables, chairs, ...) to more complex objects (both mathematical or real objects). You can check here what they've done last year in 18 lessons more or less. Models are subdivided in collections according to lessons. guzman.

very impressive earthmover...I agree about the people and some of the camera movements are a bit "jerky" but I still really enjoyed this. Why not render the animation in 3ds max though? Is lumion a lot faster?

@daniel said: Nice concept. The big open plaza doesn't look too inviting - maybe some paving patterns, seating, a big sculpure in the middle - something to draw people to the center. thanks, daniel. to remind you of what I stated above: @unknownuser said: just before you start firing away at specific design details or the lack thereof, let me warn you: this is a generic design. what is important is the general conception, not the details per se. lots of things could be different and improved should this become a real project which I doubt.

@wadoneil said: Nice ... how many cores to do that in 90s? Thanks. This was with 12 cores, but it scales pretty much linearly. Half the cores, double the time. Double the cores, halve the time. You don't have to use all available cores, of course.
