    • RE: [Plugin][$] Curviloft 2.0a - 31 Mar 24 (Loft & Skinning)

**I have been trying to install the Curviloft Ruby and have been receiving the error messages below:
I run Sketchup 8 Pro on a Mac platform....and this script does exactly what I am looking for.

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get this resolved?

      Thanks

Mate here is a quick concept of what I'm meaning.

An individually or reused formed substrate afixed the lower form could be used to create the features as part of the cast. This would avoid the use of post fixed holds. As the holds don't need to necessarily be positive (incut) but rather slopers the form would easily be removed on stripping.

That's a great idea. It never occurred to me to utilize the backside of the ramps like that.
Let me know if you hear of anyone that wants to seriously build one. I am sure it is something our company would be interested in exploring. I will also keep my ears open for any opportunities.

      Cheers!

If your not sure what a bouldering wall is I posted a Video of a concept I came up for an interactive panel design here:

      http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=81&t=16735&p=132691&hilit=bouldering+wall#p132691

Yeah, I have climbed a few rock walls in my day. They are definitely fun and would be something I would be interested in building out in the future. We have done Snowboarding towers on the beach, motocross jumps across 8 story buildings, car jumps and rails, kiteboarding ramps... and the list keeps growing. This kind of stuff is a fun challenge to engineer. I like the video you put together..good concept for construction.

Would the Boulders need to be supervised 100% of the time if in a public venue?

I just wanted to share this collage I put together of some of my favorite renderings I have done over the past three years. Only 70% of these project actually became a reality, but all of them most certainly became great practice.

This was an example of a Shoe display for DC Shoes I helped design for DC Europe Retailers.
Branding has been HUGE in my line of work.

I am glad to see others taking advantage of the creative marketing this software supports.

      Cheers!

That's really clean. I have been experimenting with marketing and branding with sketchup for awhile now, as well. The possibilities are endless.

    • Sketchup Design Used in Mini-Cooper Commercial

I just wanted to share this quick rendering I did for a new mini-Cooper commercial.
We (California RampWorks) built a ramp in downtown L.A. for this commercial shoot in late 2011. Pretty stoked to see how the commercial ended up.

Here is the newly designed MegaRamp 2.0.
I used Sketchup to design and engineer the new structure and custom framework. My component libraries surely came in handy on this task. I also attached a video of Tony Hawk testing out the ramp behind the shop.
