ivica, beautiful minimalist rendering that complements the design. I like both very much, especially the skillful use of a little color as accent. graphically, compositionally and modeling-wise exellent! I can appreciate this since I have been doing PR renders for the last week or so... Regards, [michael]

@frederik said: Hi All, Here's a little "update"... I showed this to one of my friends, who happen to be the owner of a carpenter company... He asked me if I could make a Holiday card with his logo and color... So I did... So I guess you can say that I'm into this holiday card business now... [image: Holidaycard2.jpg] Now that I really like! Adding the plans, hammer, and such, underneath, makes it just fantastic!

John, Thanks for your comments. The shaggy roof you created in Photoshop is great! What a delightful surprise to find on the morning forum check. It's clear a house like this would need one of these with its own little curved-roof charging garage. I've put an early version of the model that corresponds to the image below here. The roof could fairly easily be altered to minimize the soffit by moving a few elements, reintersecting, then copying the new roof and using "paste in place" on the newer walls. Really good! You can even place some low poly planes to get the sense of scale ( william T has some nice low poly planes on the warehouse) I only see one minor problem, the satellite pic on GE shows the airport under construction, so the buildings will look like they are in a midle of a war zone until construction stops and google updates the pics. Keep us posted on your updates!

hi charevir (please give us more info about you in your profile; a picture would be great), I somehow expected to be found by another gremista (for those of you who do not know what the hell this is: grêmio is one of the main soccer clubs in south america. its fans usually wear its jersey everywhere, like me). we are doing fine this year: today we face Santos for the semi-finals of the Libertadores Cup. Dale grêmio! Unfortunately for all mac users podium does not run on macs and I suspect it will never do as they seem to be averse to it. thanks for the tip anyway. saudações tricolores.

Hi Jeff, yeah I agree. There is a time and a place for trying out the limits of your machine, and obviously the racetrack/autocross track is the right place. I feel that training and experience are the key to understanding the risks, and knowing the skills of control. I also think that the U.S. license training classes are terrible, and that access to fast cars/bikes should be based on training and experience. Giving a 17 year old kid with no training a WRX (or fast bike/other fast car) is a big, big mistake. It's very bad in the motorcycle community because access to wicked fast bikes is as easy as getting some money together. I've heard of motorcycle dealerships talking kids out of buying the fastest bike and getting them onto something appropriate for a beginner and I applaud those folks. Unfortunatelly, more often they just take the money and deny the reality of the risk. I do really enjoy modifying my machines, and I do really enjoy roadracing my racebike. There are a lot of great kids at the track, and it's really a fantastic family environment that keeps kids out of trouble. That's the environment that really makes me smile. It just seems that great parents make great kids, and too many parents just deny the risks and "hope for the best"... That's not what my folks did, and for that I'm glad! Stay safe, avoid the ones who aren't, and make great models!! Cheers, - CraigD
