OK, still moving on with the build. Sketchup diffusion threw a few wobblies after an update went south. Rayscaper still on it. The colour is antique white from the skp standard collection, looking to see if I keep the pbr collection, not keen tbh. Hi Jeff, yeah I agree. There is a time and a place for trying out the limits of your machine, and obviously the racetrack/autocross track is the right place. I feel that training and experience are the key to understanding the risks, and knowing the skills of control. I also think that the U.S. license training classes are terrible, and that access to fast cars/bikes should be based on training and experience. Giving a 17 year old kid with no training a WRX (or fast bike/other fast car) is a big, big mistake. It's very bad in the motorcycle community because access to wicked fast bikes is as easy as getting some money together. I've heard of motorcycle dealerships talking kids out of buying the fastest bike and getting them onto something appropriate for a beginner and I applaud those folks. Unfortunatelly, more often they just take the money and deny the reality of the risk. I do really enjoy modifying my machines, and I do really enjoy roadracing my racebike. There are a lot of great kids at the track, and it's really a fantastic family environment that keeps kids out of trouble. That's the environment that really makes me smile. It just seems that great parents make great kids, and too many parents just deny the risks and "hope for the best"... That's not what my folks did, and for that I'm glad! Stay safe, avoid the ones who aren't, and make great models!! Cheers, - CraigD

@unknownuser said: These look really good from what I can see. Unfortunately the image size is so small. I do like the look of the Style you have used/created. Dylan Thanks, I haven't been sucessful in loading the images at a larger size. I keep getting a mesage informing me that the maximum size of file I am permitted to load is 64kb. Otherwise I would have uploaded a larger image. The style I have created is just a combination of Ross's styles or parts of his tyles which I have just played around with. To post the style here would be in breach of formfonts terms and conditions I would expect. [archtech]

@unknownuser said: TDG4U, what spec machine are you running the renders on? I'm interested so I'll know what kind of times I can expect from various spec machines. I'm running a Gateway Intel Pentium 4 3.6GHz, 4GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce 6800 video card and dual 24" widescreen monitors. Overall, I've been very happy with it. Been using SketchUp on it since v4.

Ah, I see. After all, we also have a balcony of the town hall (though that's a 100-year-old building - obviously with a different architectural approach) though not at the mayors office...

@shaun tennant said: Eric, If you mean you've been to the location - it is a Christian Camp near Red Deer, Alberta - there is a small town called Lacombe about 15 KM outside of Gull Lake - that help? If you mean you've been there in the stresses - well, tell me about it..! Thanks for the kind comments. Actually I was eluding to the realism of the video. I felt like I was there. Plus I have been to Camp Sumatanga in Alabama quite a few times. A methodist camp. While it is not as upscale as your project, it felt like I was at camp again. Good stuff.

Hi Edson, Lucky guy working with three girls! I would recommend Artlantis for the ease of learning. I have been using it for many years now and just turned recently to Atlantis Studio, very good at moving ojects. Have you try it? Regards, Patrice

Thanks Guys. Means a lot Tina - especially as it was your work that first persuaded me that SketchUp could be used for 'proper' presentations Two more from the same series A. [image: 9PMR_X7743_A_opt2s.jpg] [image: ITTl_X7743_A_opt3s.jpg]

We are going to start with this [image: DSC00371.jpg] On the left side - the "old" part of the city, with app 880 people living in it Centre side - industrial - which is actually the biggest part of town - there is more shops and industry here than in any mid-sized town Right side : combo new part / township with app 8000 people living in it

Thats great Tinanne. The development is a pretty good size, I would imagine they need a number of renderings. I occasionally check there site to see the latest with the project.
