I don't know why we're getting the 404. They are still on the server. Going to try another link and see if it works. It goes to the whole gallery for this house. http://www.sketchucation.com/forums/scf/sas/Gallery/nomicrowave/14-140

Dan Looking fantastic, the best part is texturing and rendering, nice to hear you chose Podium for render, version 1.5 (out very soon...in days) has a GI setting that will make your design "pop". feel free to ask if you have any questions. cannot wait to see the final rendering.

The colors were all chosen by the designer. I didn't have a say in it The company logo does fill up the wall quite a bit, tho. Thanks James!

Thanks Jim. Roger the water is a straight SU material. I had tried using TG_ but it wasn't coming out as I wanted. Instead I got the reflections in Kerky and then overlaid that image with the SU export [with the water deleted to expose the tiles and pool sides]. I used a warping brush in PhotoImpact to disturb the water a bit and used a 'gradual luminance' filter, again in PhotoImpact to add interest to the light. Stu

If you tell me where exactly you meant to make a reply (instead of creating a new topic), I can (try to) merge the two - thus simply just "adding" your comments there... (BTW I do precisely "suspect" where it was intended... Smile)

Not sure, that is the only design we actually put the fireplace on. I have to admit it wouldn't look as good if it didn't have it.

I have run into unintentional implementations of this twice. Once I was racing a Hobie cat sailing catamaran off the coast of Laguna Beach, California and I thought I was being followed by a jet plane. Looked around and there was nothing but wind and waves. I was on a broad reach, had one hull out of the water and was really smokin. Then it occured to me that the wind in the rigging and the tension created by the hull slipping through the water were setting up vibrations that was causing the whole rig to sing in a high pitched whine. More recently I was biking along the southern outskirts of Phoenix next to the Tohono O'Odham reservation and I was sure that I was being followed by a flying saucer. It was the same sound as saucers make in Sci Fi movies. Actually raised the hair on the back of my neck which is the only hair I still have left to raise. Then I realized it was wind setting up vibrations in the high tension wires far above the roadway. Even though I now knew what it was I looked back a few times just to be sure I was not being followed.

Holgster, Thank You for Your time and Your comments. Spadestick, Dont know what You mean exactly, what do I do in general or what do I do in relation to the posted images. I will answer the second issue if I am correct that is what You meant. The estate agent brought me a conceptual project that was done by another architect so that I provide visuals in order to sell the plot of land. He feels that in this manner he will sell the plot better than without visuals and so do I. If the client that eventually buys the land decides he wants to build a house similar to the one on the visuals he can do it in a short time. If he decides that he will build a house like the one You propose he will have to go start with new permits and so on. I saw the web site and I wouldnt like to comment on whats appropriate or not in design. One is modern and the other is traditional. It is all a matter of opinion ,preferences, location and target market. The architect that did this had taken all those things into consideration and in my oppinion has made a right decission.

Very nice Paul! What method do you use to get your white lines in the pavement? Do you use the stamp tool?

I have nvidia at both work and home - the one at home just happens to be a "better" model. I'm looking at replacing it though with the latest, if I can ever figure out which one would be the best (all this stuff is greek to me).

In the end the same results can be get with any program indeed. But in my experience VRAY is the easiest and above all the fastest render engine.
