OK, still moving on with the build. Sketchup diffusion threw a few wobblies after an update went south. Rayscaper still on it. The colour is antique white from the skp standard collection, looking to see if I keep the pbr collection, not keen tbh. i am not sure if that is important to you but i always try to get rid of the distortion caused by the perspective (walls not parallel but opening up). two ways to do it: camera>>two-point perspective or setting the line of view parallel to the ground (the observer's eyes look to a point at the same height as his or her eyes).

There are a lot of costs associated with a project like this. If I self publish the printing will set me back ~10 grand. Shipping books, promotional costs, shows, and PR all cost something. That's not including my time to make the book. I do well in my career, so I'll cover those costs. I'm perfectly willing to pay for all it because that will give me the most flexibility and control. When it's close to done, I'm going to pitch it to some comic publishers. If I can get a good deal, and still retain the overall rights I'll do that. The benefit of that, of course, would be that they would absorb the cost of printing, but more importantly they would have major distribution. I don't have that ability myself. The more shops stock the book the more potential for sales of course. There's a saying in Hollywood that I love, "Never spend your own money."

Thanks D, I read somewhere on the Vray forum about gamma correction to counteract desaturation- I followed their advice, but it didn't seem to help. I'll have to have another go with your suggestions as it obviously affects all my VRay renders, although some more than others.

Coen, Many sincere apologies. Sorry about the image size man. I didn't read your previous message regarding file size - i'll be more careful in the future. Please remove my original image if its size is burdonsome. As far as posting the ruby script....honestly i'm a architect naive in the ways of mischeavous scripts. Fortunately the people who download the script I posted have reported no anomolies in the script because I posted it in the exact way I recieved it. I'll try and post the link to the script itself next time. Again sorry about overstepping boundaries on this forum....no offense intended.

Thank you all. Not much change but here's the most recent version. the center door has been moved to the front. All that's left to do is the drawer boxes and the drawer guides. The guy for whom I'm drawing this wants to see it with overlay drawers although I would like him to build it with the inset drawers as I've drawn it. Once those things are done it'll be time to make up the working drawings for him. Hopefully I'll be able to post some images of the real thing one of these days. [image: th_Barts_Cabinet1.jpg]

very nice Kris, what i like is how you always introduce some organic elements. i think you could allow this stair to be more organic though, since the open space around the stair is free flowing.
