I wanted the images to have a more dramatic look\mood and that's why i put the people and the sky in black and white to contrast with all the bright green around, didn't realizes that that could give a depressive tone to the picture...now i'm depressed...lol Thanks for the 50 degres in field of view tip. Always learning David

Those look like they would be hard to see through You might want to make sure they are transparent (at least a little) from the back side. Also maybe put them on a desk or something. They look a bit weird floating in thin air. Scott

Trick of the camera. I used a pretty extremely camera angle for all of the renders. Scott

Fantastic work with a great attention to detail. This is a great representation of native SU output. Scott

FRV, I think some of the confusion with Hypershot is that while it is always rendering a "preview" render, there is still an option to make an actual render as well. A lot of what people talk about when it comes to the speed of Hypershot is the speed of the preview render and not an actual render. When you talk about the time it took for your model to "render" I am sure you were using the render settings and not just waiting for a preview render to clean up. As a user of Hypershot for a while now I can tell you unless you are using a pretty big machine, be very careful as to how high you run the render settings. If you take them to high the render times will go through the roof. While I like Hypershot for doing some renders it is not the right tool in my opinion for all renders. Hypershot was originally developed for the automotive industry for doing studio renders of automobiles. While it does render amazing studio renders it is not the best tool for doing exterior renders of architecture for example. Like any piece of software it has its place and time to use it. I agree with people that it is amazing and the preview render is really quick it just needs to be made clear that the vast majority of what we see are "preview" renders and not actual renders. Scott

@remus said: No worries Is it raw SU output? looks pretty good if it is. Yup. shadows at Dark=20, Light=85, transparency=high, and anti-aliasing turned on(for all but one image). By the way, on my mac, I have anti-aliasing, but I can't control how much it works. It's either quite blurry, or grainy. Most people say that you can change it's range in OpenGL, but I don't have any controls but On/Off (under model info> rendering).

I agree with the others. As for me though, I'm not a fan of sketchy edges. I personally like no edges, shadows at dark>20, light>85, and my personal advice: background watermark. Oh, and 3D trees WOULD be nice. Here's an example of everything I mean:[image: 1VxG_VW.jpg]

Tama ang ginawa mo at pinalitan mo ang titulo ng post mo, but you took my criticism the wrong way which is very unfortunate. Goodluck and I still think your work is superb but I'll avoid Lens flare too much, it's very 1988.... cheers, gianx

Very nice! I would probobly have used a luminescence map (or transparency map with a luminescent surface above, which would considerably lower file size as the ceiling is so curved).

nice...that first one is very cool. diamonds are definitley blinging in all of them...care to share that first HDRI? i've added a bunch of individual emitters to my scene and i think the diamonds are picking up the light much better. [image: bachain4qv8.th.jpg]
